When The Rain Stops Falling Novels & Stories

Let his soul rest in peace. It stopped raining, allowing the sun to emerge from behind the clouds. Its golden rays cascaded down upon the landscape, transforming the scene before me. The raindrops, once clinging to the grass, now glistened like delicate jewels. As if the heavens themselves had bestowed their divine touch, turning a somber moment into a moment of transcendent beauty. And I walked away from the place where the lone wolves lived, ready to return home, hoping for a new and better beginning. If only it could be...

It collided with other raindrops along the way; however, that only drew it closer to its fall. "Wouldn't it be wonderful, if we could disappear and be forgotten as easily as raindrops?"

I can still see Zeath strolling, though his figure now seems small since he has walked quite far. Soon, I start to shiver. However, most of the rain drops suddenly ceases—they stop beating me so hard like they did moments ago

Rain begins to fall—soft at first, then steadier, washing the air clean. Julia steps under the awning, watching the drops streak the ground. Brandon joins her, slipping his jacket around her shoulders without comment. She looks up at the darkening sky, feeling oddly complete. “Funny,” she says. “The rain always used to mean something was about to fall apart.”

But I can’t give up yet. The pain is excruciating, but I push through it, determined to at least finish the race. “Would you stop raining for a second”to my surprise the rain immediately stops and that’s when I see that I’m almost at the finish line.
