The neighbor next door, Craig Hooper, cried out, "Oh my god, who left something so expensive out here? I almost stepped on it. If I had broken any of this, I couldn't afford to pay for it!"
Since I hadn't fully closed the door behind me, Craig pushed it open as he finished speaking. "Are those things outside yours?"
I nodded. "Yes, Craig. I'll take them away in a moment."
Craig sighed in relief. "Jeremiah, even if you're rich, you can't just leave things lying around like this. The aged whiskey, the truffles, and that diamond bracelet—none of them are cheap. By a rough estimate, you're already looking at well over a million dollars. How could you just leave them by the door?
