After eating the first thing we do is go to our suite and get showered and changed to go address The rogues. Who Dylan says are temporarily housed in an old apartment building in the northern part of the city. Dylan drives us over and we enter the building to see a timid girl rush into one of the apartments and come out with a girl in her early twenties who is pregnant.

“No blind spots tonight.” Outside, two bikes parked waited for us already. We mounted up at the same time, engines roaring to life, the sound echoing down the street. The moment we took off, everything else faded. The city blurred around us as we sped through the streets, cutting through traffic like ghosts. The ride was fast and tense. I didn’t speak. Neither did Raid. The location Mark sent us was on the outskirts, far from the noise of the city. An abandoned warehouse district near the docks. Old money territory. Old blood territory.

We’re on borrowed time. And if this safehouse doesn’t pan out We might not get another chance. Levi’s fingers brush against mine, just for a second. A silent reminder that last night was real. That it wasn’t just desperation or adrenaline. I squeeze his hand briefly. Then let go. Because right now Survival comes first. Love has to wait. By the time we reach the outskirts of an abandoned town, the sun is setting. Owen pulls off the road, stopping in front of a rusted-out gate. Beyond it, an old warehouse looms, its windows shattered, walls covered in graffiti.

I'll just go shopping for the others as well. I know it’s not a good idea to go outside at times like this without Justine and Peter by my side, but I figured out it’s actually a good battle for me and a good training ground. I mean, not all the time I will have them beside me, so I also need to be independent. They’ll get mad at me, but I don’t think I will regret it. I climbed down the fire escape and dropped softly into the gutter when I got outdoors. I hid behind a dumpster with a baseball bat in hand, trying to make sure the road was definitely clear. With a rotten population on the increase and the infusion of rotten warriors, New York is no longer secure.

They don't even try to help us know who we are to them or any other pack, their scent is different from mine and Copper's, but I assumed it was because we had been on our own for so long, but now I'm doubting this entire idea, I need to leave now that I have the chance. There's a river behind the building, along with a wooden house, and some small houses that are one on top of the other, I walk to the front of the building where there's a nice house built, on the side is a small

It was a perfect location to abduct someone. The alley where Orpheus went shared some similarities with this area. There were quite a few homeless people gathering there because it was a wind-sheltered area. It was a place where the mastermind would probably strike. Starksholm was such a big city! Sienna was unsure whether her speculation was accurate. She had to put on a disguise and wait for the criminal to take action. She was going to play the character of a drunk homeless girl who lived on the street.

“But hundreds of years of rebuilding the infrastructure and drawing in people who don’t want to be governed by any of the countries around here has made it a lively place, one where some people have taken the time to clean up a lot of the damage. It’s still a dangerous, lawless place, though. Full of shifty people who have come here to escape the nations of Oklasaw, Middlecountry, Aricornia, and other places where laws are better enforced.” It didn’t look dangerous to Rain, only exciting. “Where are we headed specifically?” she asked Seth. He blew out a deep breath. “I figure we should hang out near the Gate. I doubt Adam has gotten there yet, but we should probably be nearby. We’ll have to

“Thinks he can do whatever the hell he wants. You a cop? I hope you’re planning on putting him away for a long time if you are. World will be a safer place without him in it.” I take a slow sip of my whiskey. “I’m not part of law enforcement, but I do plan on taking him off the streets. If you can help me find him, that is.” She exhales through her nose, glancing toward the back of the bar like she’s making sure no one’s listening. She leans in slightly. “You didn’t hear this from me, but he’s got a place on the outskirts of town. A mile up the forestry road you find just past the old canning factory. Some kind of fortified compound. Not many people go in, and even fewer come out.”

The Westside warehouse was a cluster of abandoned warehouses on the outskirts of the city, an area notorious for its poor security and a haven for delinquents, even beyond the reach of the police. Odelia’s choice of this location was strategic; unless she exposed herself, it would be hard for anyone to find her. By the time Lambert arrived, it was completely dark. The area was teeming with idlers dressed in bizarre outfits, some brawling, some drinking, and others engaged in unsavory activities in the alleys.

When they pushed through to the final set of small trees, she stopped at her tracks. In front of them was a security place - a place of defence, covered in droplets and an area of the moonlight covered it. Flashes of firelight shone on broken windows, and figures – both men and women resembling wolves, silently walked along the outer wall, their eyes flashing in shades of gold, silver and red. “Welcome to the den,” Thoren said. “A refuge for the outcasts.” Lydia felt her tightness in her chest.
