She sighed and held my hand, gazing up at the ceiling. My eyes took everything in about her. Her eyes, her hair, her skin, down to the crinkle between her brows. Squeezing her hand I made sure to pull her impossibly close and laugh. "Where do you want to go?" She looked confused. I smiled and just held her, content with her by my side. "What do you mean?" She continued to play with my fingers, a soft smile on her lips. "When this is all over. Greenwood, the attacks, everything… where's somewhere you want to go?" It was silent for a moment before she answered me.

She was taking them home with her. In the only form available. Memory. Complete and permanent and entirely hers. The system appeared. [EARTH RETURN: READY] [PROCEED WHEN READY] She read it. Took one breath. Then she turned. And she walked into the return and the world went white and clean and complete and she was gone. --- The afternoon stayed exactly where it was. The light on the road. The facility behind the fence. The faded start line paint visible through the chain link in the northeast corner of the circuit.

“What did you say?” “She...she left a few days ago. She hasn’t returned.” His world collapsed. “Beta!” he roared, his voice echoing through the grand hall. “Find her. Now! Track her down!” The Beta scrambled into action. Hours later, the report came. “Alpha...she’s gone. Our scouts tracked her trace...it leads south. Across the border. She’s...she’s in Shadowclaw territory.” The air in the room grew heavy. Kade stood perfectly still, the velvet box in his hand fell to the ground.

Before the door closed, she turned to look at me one final time. Her eyes were empty. Without saying another word, she climbed into the vehicle. The heavy metal door shut behind her. The transport slowly drove away from the courthouse. I watched until it disappeared from sight. Only then did I release one final breath. "Rest peacefully, Noah." "I hope you've finally found peace." I turned away from the courthouse. Only one destination remained in my heart. I was going home to Sienna.

“No Sir, she asked the driver to stay behind. She left alone, sir, didn't say where she was going.” I stood there puzzled. Where could she have gone? T. B. C!

She realized that she seemed ever more submissive, hoping that Weston would actually look at her for once. “So you are not returning to Ahn City for a while?” “Yes.” After getting confirmation from him, she was relieved yet felt a little depressed at the same time. “Alright then, take care of yourself.” “Is there anything else?” “No…” After ending the call, her face changed instantly, and she started packing up, telling the chauffeur that she wanted to leave. When Wendy saw her going out, she called her. “Where are you going?” Guinevere said, “I have to go out for something.”

As if she didn’t want to be held. I had let her go once before. I wasn’t about to do it again. I left the tunnel, reset the locks, and returned to my office. I didn’t call for guards or send scouts. The pack didn’t need more rumors. Instead, I stood by the far window, fingers grazing the back of my neck. Where would she go? Somewhere no one would follow. Somewhere familiar. Not safe, but... hers. And then it hit me. The Hollow End.

“She wanted to look all good for you because she wanted you. But she got tired of chasing you and thought she wasn’t beautiful so she went ahead to get some procedures to make herself more attractive to you I leaned in. “Where?” His lips parted, and for a moment, I thought he would hold onto the last piece of information he had. But then, exhaustion won over. “Las Vegas,” he breathed. “Small town… outside the city. She thought she could disappear for a bit then come back.” I smiled. There it was. I stood, nodding to Eric. “Take him back to his cell.” Adrian’s eyes widened in sudden panic. “Wait! No, no- Alex, listen-”

She smiled shooing Zoe out the door before turning to me. "You might want to sit." She cringed wiping her palms on her black jeans. Slowly I sat on the chair a couple feet away. "I went back to New York." She said simply. My heart lurched in my heart hearing of the place I now feared. "What'd you find?" I immediately asked. "Heath's gone mad. He's looking everywhere for you. He wont stop until he finds you." She said frowning at her feet. I could feel the air rush out of my lungs. I knew Heath would figure out I left. But I thought he would move on. Or at least I prayed he'd find his mate.
