I stepped closer until I was in his space. He took a shaky step backward. Dude wasn’t even meeting me eye to eye because obviously he was a couple inches shorter. “I’ll grab her and leave. Now, get the hell out of my way,” I said before shoving him. It wasn’t even hard, but both he and the girl crashed to the floor.

When my ninth “husband” got home, I was daydreaming on the couch. THE NEXT DAY “Such a lovely house it is, Amy… Did you buy it??” My mother’s eyes beamed in happiness as she looked around our newly furnished home, the biggest house of ours till now. “Yes, Mother, it’s all ours…” I told her and her smile widened but then after a moment, it dropped. “Did I put you in trouble again for this?” My mother gestured towards the house and I knew well what her concerns were.
