I jump into the driver’s seat, my hands trembling as I start the engine. Just as the car roars to life, a sound pierces the night—a howl. “No… no…no…” I whisper, glancing in the rearview mirror. Pack warriors. They’ve found me. Fear grips me like a vice as I slam my foot on the gas, the car lurching forward. The trees blur past me, but in the mirror, I see them—Jason’s warriors in wolf form, their eyes glowing in the darkness, their massive forms tearing through the woods in pursuit.

DEMONS AND DEALS. Keondra cautiously looked around when the truck diverted into the woods, following a rough track. “What's happening!?” Hilda jerked up from sleep when her head hit the dashboard. “Ow!” Her palm went straight to her forehead. “Will you drive more carefully please!?” Keondra turned to him. Thane took a glimpse of her little face. “Has anyone told you how bossy you are?” “Wolves are fierce.” She shrugged. “We are domineering in nature. It is our default.”

With tears in her eyes, Jan Wilson got on her horse and continued her journey to Jingle state. She looked back and called his name but he didn't reply. A few moments later, she got out of the jungle. Jan Jay was surprised to see a crowd waiting for her at Jingle's border to the jungle. Jan Jay was excited to see her father and narrated everything that happened in the jungle to her.

The team opened fire, the sounds of gunshots and snarls filling the air. “Reyna, stay behind me!” I shouted, my wolf pushing against my control as adrenaline surged through me. But she didn’t listen. One moment, she was at my side, her eyes wide with fear. The next, something dark and monstrous lunged from the shadows, its claws wrapping around her waist. “Reyna!” Her scream pierced through me, and my vision turned red. The creature—a grotesque blend of fur and scales—dragged her into the jungle, its movements swift and unnatural.

She knew that her mates and the rest of the pack were strong and capable, Blaze, Storm, and Rain, listened to Ronan as he put into words what the animals were saying in the forest around them. He was here all alone with Ty’s Dad- Uncle Tyson before we arrived,” I revealed. “Ty took them to the infirmary,” I added while pushing a bunch of wolves straight into the lava filled river that flowed below the steep cliffs.

My fury propels me down the stairs, around the building, and into my truck. I reverse sharply out of the parking spot, maneuver through the lot, and merge into the traffic with a determination that burns hotter than my wound. By the time I reach the council chambers, twenty wasted minutes have already fed my temper while I searched for a place to park. I slam the gear into park, snatch my bag, and storm toward the entrance. The heavy door nearly rips off its hinges when I yank it open, and I shove past the security checkpoint. Guards rush toward me, but whether it is the fury radiating from me or the sight of my blood dripping steadily, I cannot say. One feral growl from me unleashes my aura
