With a whoosh, the cat’s paw landed on Alex’s face, leaving behind three lines of bloodied wounds.

Alex threw away Old Whitey instantly. He reached out his hand to touch his face, only to feel a handful of blood. “Wasn’t it just checking your gender? Did you need to claw my face with a handful of blood? Great, now I have to get vaccinated for rabies. Do you have rabies in your body?”
“Mrrr—”
Old Whitey protested severely, with its hairs all on ends.
“Okay, okay. You’re a female, and you don’t have rabies. I’ll not give you a check-up in the future, okay? By the way, pet cats have to bathe every day. Do you want me to give you a bath?”
