Willow POV Curled up in a comfortable chair in the farmhouse, I continue my knitting project. I have decided to make a blanket for Osiris’s bed. It will be a surprise for him. I don't know when his birthday is, but I have decided to treat him like my mate. Which means I don't need a reason to surprise him with a gift. The farmhouse is quiet today. The only sound that fills the room is the clicking of my knitting needles together while I hum to myself. I know that I am supposed to be out mingling with the members of the rogue colony, but I am not comfortable putting myself out there yet.

Willow sat on the side of the road and stared at the main gate of the Logan residence. It was still too far away for any of the men inside to spot them, but over the last few years, Willow had visited the place so many times, she remembered every single tree and bird along the way.

I curse under my breath before grabbing the wine off her and returning it to the kitchen. “We are going to talk to Onara Eardwulf.” Orla declares. “Are you serious?” Willow bursts out laughing. “Yes.” Orla responds pointing for Willow to sit on the floor. Nodding, I rush past the woman and into the room fully, listening to the door click shut behind me. "Willow..." I whisper looking over her unconcious body. She's nothing but bandages, wires, and tubes now, so much different than she was only a day ago when she was telling me all about her old garden at the acerage and how her dogs Charlie and Maya would always be digging up things they weren't supposed to. After hearing that, I was going to have a space made for her outside so she could have the garden she always dreamed of with all the vegtables and flowers as dazzling as her at her fingertips.

They were happy to get our large number of warriors and strong blood lines. This merger would help all of us out and Willow and I couldn't be happier. As James hurried away, Willow, always quick to revel in others' misfortune, approached me with a smirk. "Little-angel," she sneered, "I'm pretty sure it's your last day in this house. Mrs. Oliver always finds a 'great solution' when she fires a housekeeper." Her laughter echoed in the hallway, adding to my anxiety. Before she turned to leave, Willow couldn't resist one last jab. With a mocking laugh, she threw ," I wish for you a bad luck!"
