"He went out with his mother and his friend, Lorena." I said and Adrian raised his eyebrows. "That's a definition of a shit show." He chuckled but I didn't respond anything. I checked my watch to see if it's already 10 minutes or not. "You're waiting for him?" He asked and I shook my head.

I smile, throwing my shoulders back. Three of them burst into fits of laughter, whilst Maddox stares at me with a strange look in his eyes, one I didn’t even want to decipher, I had boiled it down to either sex or murder, neither of which I would appreciate. I should have known they would find it hard to believe, their hadn’t been a Phoenix sighting in many years, the last one when I was only a child and I didn’t know to hide what I was. But I didn’t know if they knew about that.
