Alpha Cain
As previously discussed, Flame and I step forward, but allow Gene and Levi to light my father's fire and as soon as the flames take, they both shift, raising their heads to howl forlornly at the moon.
Flame and I shift too, our shoulders pressed together as we join the cry. Each family call their loved ones name to the sky before they light their fire, shifting and adding their voice to the mournful song and as more and more voices join in, the sorrowful sound echoes through the night.
Even Flame's friends seem to be affected, standing there, the only humans surrounded by grieving wolves, tears running silently down their faces as they watch the fire lighting up the night.
