The marsh beyond the hollow walls stirred as if holding its breath. She felt everything. Rowan’s fury. Lucien’s hunger. Her own rising storm. She lifted her hands—fire and frost blazing in perfect symmetry. The marsh answered. Roots erupted through the floor in long, twisting spears. Fire burst from her palms in a column of gold, but frost intertwined with it—blue-white veins snapping through the flames like ice lightning. Wolves howled as frost sealed their paws to the stone, while the fire seared the air around them.

Al their conflicting emotions, al the sly things they'd done, al the things they only dreamed about doing in the deepest, blackest parts of their hearts. Fire and ice licked over her flesh. It was like he had stepped right into the heart of a raging fire. He seemed to not be himself as Alpha took over, then suddenly a blanket of flames flew up about three feet off the ground on either side of him, glowing brightly. His head was bowed low before he finally looked up, his eyes flying open a deep fiery pit of gold, that showed no emotion at all, and Instantly the flames surrounding him died out, the blanket of flames on either side of him, hanging three feet in the air suddenly cooled, fading away into two huge golden wings, smooth like a plate of golden metal, and two shimmery horns protruding from each point of conjunction.

And then— Golden wings burst from my back, wider than war banners, glowing with ancient light. My fur deepened to bronze-silver, eyes like starfire. Gasps echoed across the line—some from allies, some from enemies—because no one had seen me fly in years. “FOR THE REALM!” I roared, my voice both beast and man, echoing through the battlefield like thunder chasing flame. I took flight, soared above the flames and fog, wings slicing through the air. Orc archers aimed. Too slow. I banked left, spun, and dived—axe gleaming like the sun breaking through a storm.

His wings spread wide, feathers shimmering like liquid gold, ready to defend the innocent and uphold the balance of the realms. Flame curled around Wrath's frame, a living, breathing entity that danced and flickered with his every movement. The inferno cast eerie shadows, highlighting the sharp angles of his face and the fierce determination in his molten eyes. His power was raw, untamed, a force of nature that refused to be contained or controlled.

I can see the faint outline of what looks like wings spread behind her. Wings of fire that seem to take the shape of a heart… A piercing scream rips through the air as her power increases tenfold and surges into the sky, emanating in waves around her. I see the swirls of the flames behind her move before I see a tiny part of her left wing snap and shrivel into embers of ash. It’s too blinding to look at, and I’m forced to avert my gaze.
