They always believe that it is going to save them. It is seen as stupid and foolish, but there is no one to actually stop them. If there was, they wouldn’t be as foolish as to try and burn themselves alive.” Her lips curved faintly. “But they always burn once it grows too bright. Just like you will.”

Ready to march to the doors of our enemies’ abode, to kill, to free, and to reclaim all that is mine. I stare at the burning sun, dipping below the horizon, my eyes blazing, my wings spread behind me, and I turn, scanning the army before me. The time has come. An army ready for my words of encouragement, but words have forsaken me, leaving me with nothing but the bleeding pain of her absence.
