I forcefully opened the door so I could help myself upstairs but suddenly fell on something. I lay down screaming in pain but no one was coming to my rescue. I turned around to try getting hold of something I could stand with when my hand suddenly hit a glass and everything shattered into pieces on me and pierced through my skin. A few seconds later, I felt the omegas gathering around but no one dared to offer me a helping hand as they would be severely punished. Then, the harsh basement lights flickered to life. The sudden brightness stabbed into his one eye, as the other one had a rod drawn deep and the man on the floor squeezed in fear. His entire face twisted in pain, as if even the light itself was another form of torture. The footsteps stopped. The man forced his one eyelids apart, just a little A thin sliver of vision. He froze, his entire body shutting down. The voice was unmistakable. It was Gwendolyn. He shoved Ragnar away and turned towards the forest. Her scream sounded again, and his protective instinct surfaced. His human form retreated, giving Shadow an opportunity to emerge. His eyes bled black as dark, spidery webs emerged from his skin. His wings burst out and he bolted into the forest in inhumane speed.

He had rosy lips. His voice could have easily put someone into an unbreakable trance, but here I was in his presence holding onto my sanity.
