She winks before chuckling upon seeing his unamused expression. "I don't need anyone's money. I'm very able to earn my living" he scoffs before digging into the thick burger in his hands. Watching him eat brought a soft smile to her eyes and when a sauce smears the side of his lips, she naturally wipes it with her thumb. Unexpecting what she did, he went stiff and paused midway through chewing. His eyes darted to her in time to see her lick her thumb. "I can do better with bigger ones" Seeing his eyes on her, she winks while subtly running the tip of her tongue around her thumb. She was being subtle but she made sure he saw what she did.

He said. "Okay. Fire away!" "Knock knock." He started. "Who's there?" "Opportunity." What? "Opportunity who?" "How about an opportunity to meet the man of your dreams," he said with a wink. D-Dang! T-The wink! It was the wink! It made my heart skip a beat, it felt so unreal~ LMAO! "Pfft! Yeah right, and you're not talking about yourself, are you?" I raised my right brow at him and folded my arms across my chest, "What if I am?" Oh? He's serious then?

He winked, a smile stretched to his lips. “You better not or just simply don't try to hear my thoughts again.” He only replied with a playful smirk. Is that a yes? Or maybe not.

he asks Lo through the mouthful of bread and turkey. She gives me a wink and nods. Goddess, she can be such a tease when she wants to be. “Come on Jack. I need a nap.”

If he shrugged one more time, I was going to personally remove his shoulders. I narrowed my eyes at him. “Fitch, you’d better not mean what I think you mean.” Apparently my threat lacked any real force, because he— looked up from his plate and winked at me. And then he smiled. Bright. Reckless. Confident to the point of absurdity. Apparently, winking and grinning really could exist at the same time—and together they were about as powerful as a nuclear weapon. I felt a faint jolt run through my body, my cheeks heating up.

He winked and my stomach rumbled. Was it out of hunger?

I keep repeating these two phrases to myself to keep myself under control. When we pull back, she makes eye contact with me and winks. I wink right back.

He smiled and then tapped his pen twice while I caught myself jingling my keys in my pocket and our eyes lock. We both freeze, then laughed as if we were sharing a secret. “Hold on,” he said, chuckling, pointing at my hand. “You do that key thing, don’t you? Same as my pen-tapping. That’s uncanny.” I smiled nervously. “Yeah, it’s my nervous tic. I jingle when I am thinking too hard. You tap like you are keeping time.” He tilts his head slightly curiously, and I realize that I am doing the same with my head cocked at the same angle.

Not blinking. Not saying a word.
