Winter Gods And Serpents の小説・ストーリー

“So, witches don’t ride on broomsticks or pray to the devil?” Meredith burst out into laughter. “No. Nothing like that. I would love to buy an expensive broomstick to go with the theme, though.” She stopped laughing and composed herself. “We actually believe in gods, but not like the ones we see in Christianity of Judaism. You already know that the wolves pray to the Moon Goddess. We are the same. We have different gods we pray to. The Moon Goddess is among the strongest of them. Her powers make the waves rise and fall and the animals and earth to be soothed. The witch’s relationship with the world rests on love. We have been gifted by the gods to take care of this planet.” I nodded in vague

Then I heard it the hissing chant off in the distance (what did it mean). Skoll is the name of the wolf Who follows the shining priest Into the desolate forest, And the other is Hati, Hrodvitnir's son, Who chases the bright bride of the sky. "They are the two wolves from norse mythology one who chases the sun and the other one who chases the moon, ragnarok starts after one eats the sun and the other eats the moon and the world serpent eats Thor and Fenrir will swallow Odin" Lagertha tells me

He had never seen any animal have such vivid colours before, but he had certainly heard of them. He recalled the stories in the books he had read. Some of the old Gods had different forms but it was always easy to tell them apart from mortals. He recalled reading about a God that looked like a huge tree with a human-like face. However, those Gods often created beings known as demi-Gods. These immortals could look as normal as any living creature, but there were some who did not. Creatures like these wolves might not have been demi-Gods themselves, but it was very possible that they may have been descended from them. Of course, the Goddesses of today were more mortal in appearance, or so stat

He fought against it, only for it to prove futile in the end. Fenriz gives me a pained look and clenches his jaw tight. /“When the woman of night is no longer protected by the everlasting, and afterwards concealed or surrounded by a red serpent crown, two children will be borne of simultaneous love and lust, ushering forth the resurrection of a false god.”/ I hate these fucking prophecies. “I don’t get it?” I say with a frown, but Fenriz only shakes his head, then walks over to the entertainment area and pours two glasses of what I assume to be bourbon.

Today was the day every kid was dreading. The day we were coming back to school after winter break. "Are you and Orion a thing?" Ocean asked as we walked towards our homeroom classes. Of course this was the first thing she would ask me. I had drunkenly rambled to her about our New Year's kiss and she knew that we spent most of the winter break together. "What do you mean? Why would you assume that?" I figured the answer of my questions but asked anyways.

I watched with helpless eyes as Inyoka returned to the water again and sank back in. When she came out, she had taken her snake form—an anaconda. She wrapped her body around him, not willing to let Zach go or even breathe. Zach, too, who had no control over his body, allowed himself to be swayed. “You are mine,” Inyoka said. It was quite pathetic that an entire snake goddess was this thirsty over love in her prime; wasn’t she warned? Why was she bent on loving someone?

The next day, I went to the jewelry store to pick a return gift for Ebony's bracelet. I remembered that Ebony's beast form was a black snake with green pupils, so I picked a pair of snake-shaped cufflinks with emerald eyes. Even now, I thought to myself that since the Serpentskins had money and influence in space, what was there to be upset about?

From her essence, the gods later shaped Durga, a goddess of war and justice, and imbued her with weapons of celestial power to strike down the demon whose malice threatened the balance of all life—human and magical alike. The prophecy speaks of a time when Usha’s light would return, not merely as dawn, but embodied in the world once more, guiding the reincarnation of Durga. But the battle requires more than divine wrath. To triumph, Durga must ride a weretiger, a creature born of both human cunning and animal strength, embodying the primal power of Usha herself. Only such a bond can defeat the demon forever.

Caelum snapped his fingers, and the emerald shadows of the harbor’s ruins rose up, forming a literal pack of shadow-wolves that charged the serpents. It was a war of the elements. The "Wild" of the North against the "Abyss" of the Deep. The Leviathans shrieked, a sound that made the glass windows of the lower city explode, but they couldn't penetrate the twins' resonance. Every time a serpent lunged, it was met by a kinetic wall or a shadow-bite. But the effort of holding the main tsunami was killing me. I could feel my kinetic core starting to fracture. The violet light of the dome was turning a jagged, unstable red.

Delsanra takes a pause before continuing. “For example, Apophis is the same as the Greek god Typhon, who is the god of darkness and monsters, mainly Apophis is tied to serpents, and some say he can take that form himself. Mythology changes over time and around the world. There are so many versions that not everything we know is the truth, but one thing is for certain, the serpent is what represents Apophis, darkness and chaos.” Delsanra explains. I know witches are said to be smart, but I’m impressed, and what she said actually makes sense.
