My body moved on instinct, pulling Beauty closer to me, her small hand curling into my shirt.
“Some say,” the voice continued smoothly, “that every star is a wish someone never let go of, so it formed in the sky.”
My heart started racing. I wasn’t sure servants were meant to be here, but Beauty wanted to see the sky, and I couldn’t say no.
“I didn’t expect to see anyone here tonight.”
“I wanted to see the stars,” Beauty replied before I could.
