I rolled my eyes at him. “Ok let’s get you to the town hospital.” “You good bro”, one of them say as they walk their way over to Alex and I. “Yea thanks to her” he smiled down at me. “Josh this is Sierra, Sierra meet Josh. He’s my best friend and future Beta of the pack.”

The hidden letter slid out and fell onto the wooden surface. My chest tightened. The letter was sealed with dark red wax—the symbol pressed into it made my stomach drop so fast I felt dizzy. It had a wolf’s head with a crown. The Bloodrage crest, it was my family's crest. What the heck was it.... My chest tightened before the letter slipped out of my fingers in shock. I hurriedly picked the letter back up with trembling fingers. I stared at the letter, my fingers trembling as they hovered over it. Before I could second-guess myself, I broke the seal. I unfolded the paper and began to read.

He picked it up wondering why a letter would be delivered to them in such a way without using the mailbox. He narrowed his eyes trying to figure out who the letter is meant for. There’s no address on the white envelope but his name: 'Lucas White' was boldly written on the white envelope. With curiosity, he couldn’t waste any time; he tore open the white envelope to reveal the content. Out of the white envelope fell a plain sheet. He flips the sheet open to reveal bold written five words: ‘YOU ARE THE NEXT ALPHA.’
