My anger and weariness fled in the wake of her reprimand and all I was left was the icky stickiness of embarrassment. Lady Piia waved her hands dismissively. “That’s fine. You’ve been overwhelmed. But the tale of the vampire king is one that will be told on a different day. Right now, it’s of upmost importance that you understand what led to your mother’s disappearance. But for me to explain that, I have to tell you how the witches came to be. The whole thing is a bit convoluted -as is anything pertaining to the witches- but I will try to be as clear as I can. Witches are part human, part elves. Well, maybe one tenth elven? It’s become so diluted that we don’t even have any physical resembla

It was a hard spell to do even for a powerful air witch like her, it was a spell that could take away any living needs of your opponent, for a fire witch it'll take away light in your eyes, hence you'll be temporarily blind for the entire battle, a terra witch, the land below you will swallow your opponent whole, a water witch, it'll take away all your water in your body and use it for an attack that will damage you as well, and for air witches like Lilan, it has the most powerful damage because air is needed by the livings more than other elements, it will take away all oxygen in your body and around you it's a definite win if Lilan does it right. "You certainly haven't seen the witch who split her soul into seven just because she wanted revenge on her werewolf mate. Her magic is one of the five forbidden magics in the Idris covenant." "What? Dividing the soul into seven?"

Despite her delicate appearance, she emanated a quiet power that made even the most formidable members of our pack take notice. Meredith, a witch, is one of the few beings in our world who possesses the gift of eternal youth. Unlike werewolves, whose lives were measured by the cycles of the moon and the passage of time, witches existed outside those boundaries, their bodies untouched by the ravages of age. It was said that they harnessed the very essence of life itself, drawing upon ancient magic to remain forever young.

the woman said, giving me a sympathetic look. I wasn't sure what I was hearing. "I don't understand. Why is the magic unnatural?" "It's not from the Goddess." It was surprisingly confusing at the same time. Luna Lucia explained that in our world, there were two different types of magic. The magic of the Mystwolf was derived from the Moon Goddess herself, while the magic of the witches was derived from what they learned from nature and its energies or through the Goddess of Witchcraft's guidance. The flames Violet developed from her magical energy were not sourced from either.

Emily sighed in relief, she had expected him to be skeptical and laugh about it but he didn't. Her case was one of the rarest cases of witchcraft. Though witches had the ability to manipulate and control energy, power, nature, etc they had to draw that ability from somewhere. Most witches drew it from one of the four elements; Water, Air, Fire, and Earth. Some from nature which was partly Earth. Then black magic used sacrifices and blood to generate power. Wizards were said to be connected with the 5th element which was the Spirit and Sorcerers which were the highest witches could draw energy from all of them.

To my knowledge, the one behind Bentley was the White Witch.”

I exit the dungeon without another word. Levi and Ariana join me in researching Wiccan history. “Witches can have a variety of magical powers in addition to the ability to cast spells,” Ariana says while reading a dusty leatherbound manuscript. “What kind of powers does it mention,” I ask. “All kinds! Elemental variances having to do with earth, fire, wind, and water, as well as telekinesis, freezing time, premonition, astral projection, um…oh my moon goddess…” Levi and I stare at her, waiting for her to continue.

“So I went to the eastern border. The place where the swamp is so deep there are no houses for miles.” Victoria frowned slightly. “They say powerful witches live there.” I nodded. “They do. Legends say they’re born in a cave there, that they spend a thousand years around the same flame, weaving spells even the Moon Goddess doesn’t know.” My jaw tightened as the memory surfaced. “I went there. And the witch was there." “Go on,” Victoria urged. “The witch gave me a vision,” I said. “I saw Melany standing before a million subjects, all of them kneeling. And she was wearing the King’s crown.”

this is what our researchers have deemed to call it. A madness of sorts that consumes the minds of those of the living, and this fever causes them to yearn for those that are in the land of the dead" she replied. "People that are alive, your normal wolves would want and yearn for their relatives and loved ones that are dead and live in hell now" said Queen . We do not know what that has to do with the prophecy though" she added
