"You've been suppressing it for too long." She shook her head. "That's impossible. I'm not that strong." Kael crouched in front of her, his expression serious now. "You're not supposed to be. Not unless you were born with bound magic." She stared at him. "You keep saying that. What does it even mean?" He studied her wrist again, the mark still glowing faintly. "When two powers-demon and witch merge, they create something called the Bloodbound. A fusion. The last one nearly destroyed three realms."

Callen raised the test tube high, the blood inside it glowing: “Valenfort must be purified! Let the Blood Emperor know that humanity is still alive!” Shooting, screams echoed. Once he’s out of my sight, I can feel the tether between us being stretched and it’s almost like I have double vision for I can see the things he does and can hear the sound of his footsteps as he walks down the hallway. I can see and hear his brother’s through his eyes as Adam asks, “Where’s Raya? Are you finally able to get away from her?” I speak through him so that he responds, “We’re testing out how far we can stretch the tether.”

My face turned pale, and I turned around to dodge the attack, but the tall Lycan suddenly rushed up in front of me, flipping me to the ground face down. I coughed, choking on a mouthful of blood. I wanted to struggle to stand up but was held down by the tall Lycan. “Hand them over!” I heard him bark at the rest, and one of them took out a ten filled syringe with green liquid glowing inside of it, I needed no one to tell me what that was, it was wolfsbane! “No… no… please no…” I screamed inside of me. He ripped some fur off my arms, then pierced the exposed skin, releasing the liquid in my system.

Alpha Tan was also seated near the altar with a satisfied smile on his lips again. I took a last look around, but I still couldn't find my mom or Aunt Kira. Where are they? “ The hour of the blood moon is upon us, and we must perform the sacred rite of binding the Arion to our pack,” Fern started, her voice high pitched and firm. “ Her strength and weakness will be ours, and our strength and weakness will hers. His smile just made everyone smile. “Guess what I found out from Cade?” He rubbed his hands together. “Not something bad I hope.” I squished my brows together. “Was it about my mom?” His smile dimmed just a little. “No, but I did learn some interesting things about hunters. More specifically, the fact that there were only three bloodlines.” My eyes widened in surprise. “Three? That’s not a very large number.” I started to feel some hope rise in my chest. “Yeah, three packs carry the bloodline, they were the Midnight Pack, the Trinity Pack, and the Daemon Pack.”
