Her eyes flickered not leaving him as memories came flooding as she remembered that fateful night her mother burned on a stake, her cries piercing her heart as

I secured our pack house to protect the Omegas and the children who couldn't fight then I removed their spell from the wolves.

“Yes, I am. We are half-wolves, but we do not harm humans. We are wronged. We are all innocent. How can children can eat human meat? The children in our pack even got entangled in this mess.” Anais buried her face in her hands, covered in tears. “My name is Elizabeth.” “My name is Anais.” “Let us make a pact. Let us form a curse.” The two women put their palms in the walls that separated them apart. Elizabeth recited some words, and Anais followed her words. They recited the words all night. Preparations are already set. Loads of oil that are bought from the nearby towns surround the firewood, courtesy of the local governor himself.

He whispered to me, but nothing was getting through my head. “Sasha, get your son! He can’t wake and see this.” He demanded of me, sending a command through my body. My eyes snapped to him with fury. “I’m sorry I compelled you, but you need to snap out of it and get your son.” His eyes were soft to mine this time. I looked back to Charlotte’s lifeless body and took a hard gulp. I had to step over one witch to reach Charlie and gently picked him up in my arms. I think the sleeping spell was still on them because none of them moved a muscle.

My magic flared, demon roaring for me to act and I almost did. Almost.
