Then after a few seconds, his face brightened and he said, “Still, the cubs of you both will be a hybrid and they would look super cute. How is the process of making me a great-grandfather going?” “Don’t worry, Grandpa! She must be already carrying your grandchildren. But I am a little worried about her health right now. What if it affects her process of turning into what she desires?” Drake asked. “I will check with other clan elders. Someone must know about this Royal clan and this young hybrid. It was very rare in our olden times or almost impossible for a wolf and a hunter to mate. But it seems like this also had become common in recent days.” Ernest said.

His voice was a low growl, vibrating in the floorboards. Guller didn't stand up. He kept his hand on Neoma’s stomach. "It is not a tumor," Guller said. Viggo let out a breath that sounded like a tire deflating. "Then what is it? Why is her energy spiking?" "It is a hybrid," Guller said. The room went silent. The only sound was the wind snapping the canvas outside and the blood rushing in Guller’s ears. "A hybrid?" Wolfy stopped pacing. He stared at the ceiling, calculating. "The statistical probability of successful conception between a Void-altered human and a Lycan is... it is infinitesimal. The chromosomal mismatch..."

“I thought she was a vampire.” “She isn’t. She’s a hybrid, and I’ve been hunting her for a few days now,” he answered. “That’s impossible. Hybrids don’t exist. We can only procreate with our own species,” I rushed to say. Sure, sex is possible between all four species, but not conception. A werewolf can’t conceive with any of the other species, and the same goes for the others. What he was saying was beyond impossible. It was in the realm of dreams.

Liam’s voice interrupted my thoughts. I shifted my position in the chair so that I was facing him. Real animals were never part of the tests, as we used alternative methods for experimentation. It was something I adamantly refused to consider. We combined werewolf blood and our female blood to create small, fierce beasts. The legend spoke of a mysterious creature called Gwyllwolf that could only be created by combining our blood with certain other substances, known only to my scientists.

Among them, one individual stood out above the rest – Athdal, a young hybrid of vampire and werewolf blood. Athdal was a rare breed, born of a forbidden union between a vampire and a werewolf. His very existence defied the laws of nature, making him a target for both his own kind and those who sought to maintain the status quo. Yet, despite the dangers that surrounded him, Athdal had managed to carve out a life for himself in Orleana. He was the leader of a pack of hybrids, a group of individuals who, like him, bore the traits of both vampires and werewolves.

Because following the other in which things were run, Zafira was not supposed to be in the room and here she was asking the question that was on everyone’s lips. The old wolves shifted where they stood. "That symbol," Theron said slowly, "belongs to an evolving hybrid." The words hit like ice water. "An evolving hybrid," he repeated. "A werewolf born with both bloodlines who undergoes a second transformation. It happens once in a century, if that. Before evolving, the hybrid is trapped between two natures, neither fully in control. But once the evolution begins, everything shifts. The body strengthens. Instincts sharpen. Power rises. And the world begins to notice."
