Wolf Pack Hierarchy Levels の小説・ストーリー

Stay with me here, I know I am overloading you with a ton of information about us, but it all will make sense in the end. Werewolves live in packs, and a hierarchy system rules the pack. The strongest werewolf is the leader of the pack and is called Alpha. His mate, and equal, is called Luna. They are the head of the pack. The second in command is the Beta, the third Gamma, and so on. You get the idea. They all help lead the pack, but the Alpha is always the last to have the final say. The werewolves whose connection with their inner wolf is weak, or are unable to shift, are called omegas. They are the lowest rank of the pack. Most of them work as servants. There are regular pack members su

she questioned. “Yes, there’s a pack hierarchy. Wolves usually live in packs. The Alpha, whether male or female, leads the pack. The Luna is their mate. After them comes the Beta, second-in-command, along with their mate, Beta Female or Beta Male. The Gamma is third in command, and their mate would be Gamma Female or Male. Despite being partly animal, our society is more advanced than humans. The Alpha title, usually passed down to the firstborn, is open to all genders,” I explained. “Most of the pack are allowed to challenge the pack position, but hardly anyone does.” Her response was a snort of amusement. “Greek letter hierarchical club. Yay!” Even Alex and Sean joined in the chuckles at h

His arms were crossed, his posture rigid, every inch of him radiating authority. I held my chin up, refusing to let him intimidate me. "Because it's obvious," I said, matching his tone with steel of my own. "I know how ranked wolves behave. I've watched hierarchies my entire life. These three?" I gestured back toward Ronan, Kael, and Turk, who stood frozen in the center of the arena, watching our confrontation with wide eyes. "They move like officers. They carry themselves with the confidence of wolves who already know their place. Ronan's the Beta, Kael's the Gamma, and Turk's the Delta. They've been ranked for a while now, haven't they?" Darien's jaw tightened, but he didn't deny it.

He’s totally stunned. “A Pack is a group of werewolves. We basically are like a family that protects and cares for each other. And we have a hierarchy, ranked members based on your blood and strength. So Alpha CJ is our current leader because he is the strongest and has Alpha blood. His father, Alpha Alonzo, was the previous Alpha. And then there are the Betas like me who are second in command. There are many of us Betas throughout the territory because we own so much land. Many smaller Packs wanted to join us. So that we could provide them with better protection from Rogues. And other species trying to wipe them out! There are also Gammas or third in command and Deltas or forth in command.

Novel's POV I didn't sleep early; I was too consumed by the terminology of wolves. My mind raced as I memorized the hierarchy: The Alpha: The Ruler of the Pack. The Beta: Second in command. The Gamma: Elite, rare warriors. The Omega: The majority of the pack. The Luna: The Alpha’s Mate. The Anchor: A Human Mate. The Mate Bond: The supernatural pull between souls. Shift: Transforming into wolf form. Mind-link: Telepathic communication.

I suddenly got excited. "Yes. We have the alpha, and you probably know what the alpha's job is. Alpha is the leader of the pack, beta is in second command, and delta and gamma are the ones who are ready to take over as beta in the future." I nodded. "There are other ranks that aren't mentioned in the stories you read, like epsilons. Epsilons are at the top of the middle of the pack. They are skilled hunters and very smart. Old wolves with a lot of experience are valuable to the pack."

It is tradition older than the borders of the Red Lake territory itself. When elders pass down their rank to the next generation, it follows strict order. The Alpha passes to his son. Then the Beta. Then Gamma. Down the hierarchy, one by one. This order isn’t about favoritism. It’s about stability. It allows the successor to grow into the expectation gradually. To train not just their body, but their mind. To command. To endure resistance. To be obeyed without hesitation. And then there is the transfer itself. The moment rank shifts, every wolf in the pack feels it.

Whatever the fuck that means in the werewolf community. Alpha would be the leader, and Beta would be second in the group based on the old standard of how wolf packs were previously defined. Of course, those terms have gone the way of the dodo as scientists have studied further and felt the previously described hierarchy isn’t accurate. This is just a lot to take in, and while it may seem minor in the grand scheme of life, the fact that people at work heard Hale telling me we can’t be more than professional irks me. I mean, great, I’m not paranoid. But I would prefer being paranoid than right in this case. Now I know people in our office have been gossiping about us.

Mary really wanted to understand. “Okay, well first, everyone here…, and I mean everyone, is a wolf. That’s what makes us a pack… wolves hunt and live in packs and we protect and love each other as a family. So I am boss wolf and Gregg is my beta wolf, my second in command… kind of like vise president haha” Damon laughed as he said this. “After us everyone falls into levels of sort of status. It is based on bloodline, family status. Upper class , middle class type thing. Sarah”s family for example was middle class. Her mother was a teacher and her father was part of the border protection team.”

Which meant that I was to go through my ceremony truly alone. At the Midnight ceremony, I will also discover another aspect about myself, which is my place in the wolf hierarchy, my tier. There were three tiers in the wolf hierarchy, Alpha, Delta and Omega. Alphas were the rarest of them all, born leaders. Deltas were commoner than Alphas, but unlike being an Alpha, being a Delta was not inherited from the parents. Omegas were the commonest tier, and like Deltas, it was totally random being an Omega.
