Even though Onyx is a Delta and Deltas and Gammas are essentially all the same - pack warriors, Delta's are the elite and fiercest warriors of the pack, and Onyx is the top Delta, just as I am the top Gamma. Where I was skilled and an expert in pack defenses, Onyx was skilled, the stealthiest wolf in the realm and the top war advisor to the King. Headmaster Ronan said that when I am finally of age to join its quite possible that I'll start training to take over as the head warrior, which is the highest ranked Delta in the pack. The Peacekeeper Pack is different in their way of ranking than other packs in that they don't actually have Gammas. There's King Rayan as Alpha, the Headmaster is the Beta, & all of the Alpha's to the packs are considered the Royal Pack's Gammas. The next rank are Deltas, & they are essentially the Heads of each department & the teachers here at the academy, then there's the Omegas. The strongest werewolf is the leader of the pack and is called Alpha. His mate, and equal, is called Luna. They are the head of the pack.
