Lisa’s POV The witch raised the blade slowly, savoring my fear. Its surface shimmered unnaturally, dark like obsidian, but humming with something worse- wolfsbane. I knew that smell anywhere. Mixed with silver, it could cut deeper than just flesh. It could kill a wolf’s spirit. I gritted my teeth and prepared for pain, imagining the sword plunging into my chest, into my heart. But it didn’t. Instead, she placed it lightly on my shoulder.

"Yes, Alpha Jasper." Staring at the sword in my hands, I slowly unsheathed it. The sword was just as beautiful as the last time I had used it; the steel blade gleamed, as though it had been just freshly sharpened. When I used to use the blade a lot, I'd ask my guards to keep the sword in a mixture of Wolfsbane and Dahlia juice. It was well known amongst wolves that one slice of a blade infused with that mixture could poison and kill in seconds.

I repeated, the word flat as steel. When she was gone, I turned back to the charred remains on the desk. Kneeling, I brushed my fingers through the ashes. A faint shimmer of blue still lingered at the edges, flickering out like a dying ember. It was the rare and dangerous Fire-wolf grass. It reacted only to the scent of mixed-blood wolves and to royal blood when provoked. Someone had known exactly what they were doing.

Exactly as seen earlier in the castle. The sword. “What does that one do?” I asked, pointing to it. “It drinks blood. For anyone it kills, their blood is stored in the blade. You would try to always have a clothing between you and the hilt” That did not sound more beneficial than fairy dust. “So how useful would it be to protect me?” With only a smile, “very” Time to close the deal. “I have one silver coin” playing with the coins against my fingers. “Make it three and we have a deal”

The wine made from it can exude an alluring fragrance similar to lilies and musk. FALLEN FLORAL GRASS attacks hearts and lungs with continuous use, deteriorating the function of one's organs thus ending their lives tragically. It produced a charred odor when burnt. DRAGON SCALE GRASS has yellow flowers, gray stems, and white leaves. A pale yellow liquid that emanates cold moist air will flow from its stalk once split broken. FISH SCALE GRASS grows in marshland. It is named as such due to its unique fish scale-like stem. Its entire body is gray and there are slight white spots on top of the leaves. A milky-white liquid will flow out of its stem when broken

“What?” “The test came back positive for moongrass, yarrow, and mugwort,” the nurse said, holding the strip up for all to see. The original light blue color was now a deep purple. “All three are common herbs used in the creation of the strength tonic known as ‘Wolf’s Edge’. It’s a liquid known to give the drinker brief but unprecedented strength and speed.” Some scattered laughter rose around the room. As if this was a fucking joke. Jessica, now looking supremely proud of herself, announced loudly, “So it’s true, then. Liora is a cheater, just like we all thought.”

Here and now I just wanted to be alone with my one and only. Taking out the bags from the trunk and the blanket, I began to set up the table. Yaroslava walked with interest between the trees, and then silently joined me. As a result, the girl began chopping vegetables for the salad and everything else, and I started making kebabs. By the time everything was ready, the she-wolf and I still communicated normally. I told her where I was from and what it was like to live in Scotland, how beautiful and free it was there.

I smiled at her in greeting, and as she got closer I noticed she was just watching me. She had long blonde hair that was being tossed around in the wind. Her eyes locked with mine and I marveled at the amazing color. They were a golden amber color and sparkled in happiness as the sun hit them. Her scent wrapped around me as she got even closer and I inhaled deeply to imprint the smell in my memory. Her scent of wisteria was warm and inviting. I was enjoying it way too much. My wolf, Storm, woke up suddenly and seemed to pay attention to her. Most of the time, he slept and didn’t interact with me much unless I needed him, or if he wanted to go for a run to stretch his legs.

They act strange. Especially Xander's mother, she hardly go out in the sun. She doesn't eat vegetables. She walks faster than a normal human being."
