Kathy screamed as the disgusting concoction spilled onto her clothes. The wolf, stimulated by Kathy's screams and the scent of blood from the dead rats, began to furiously attack the cage, each impact stronger than the last. The intense fear in the wolf's eyes, coupled with its primal strength, even made Laura step back in fear. As the wolf gathered its strength for another attack, its roar seemed to shake the entire iceberg. Kathy screamed in terror. Laura, satisfied with Kathy's fear, turned and left, knowing that her game was just beginning.

Glancing up, a horrifying scream tore my throat, one that made me taste blood and burst every vein in my body. The pitch-black wolf is staring at me, murderous brown eyes as his fangs dripped thick salvia onto my face. “THE ALMIGHTLY CRUSHER.” The announcer roared and everyone cheered, “HE WILL FACE A HUMAN FOR THE FIRST TIME AFTER HIS PREVIOUS OPPONENT’S DEATH.” “DEATH!” I exclaimed, withering in my restraints and trembling as I tried to get out. “LET ME GO, LET ME GO!”

The scream that tore out made the hairs on my neck rise. But there were too many of them, so we were outnumbered. A scream tore through the night and what I saw frightened me. His roar echoed through the trees, primal, and terrifying. He slammed his foe into the dirt, leaving nothing but a broken heap behind.

The need to hit, maim or scream is overwhelming. “FUCK!” I scream out. The voice doesn’t sound like my own. It sounds strangled and pained, an echoing of the very depths of my soul and the desolation I feel. My hands yank at my hair and my wolf lets me mourn the possibility of the loss of my dad and the only true friend I have ever known.

It was a deep, terrifying, double-toned sonic vibration. It wasn't a standard pup whine, and it wasn't a common timber-wolf bark. It was the legendary "Wolfe-style" royal growl—a unique, anatomical vocal resonance that could only be produced by the thickened vocal cords of the direct, pure-blooded heirs of the Supreme Alpha lineage. It sounded like a rolling thunderstorm mixed with the snapping of heavy iron chains.
