Raven’s wolf snarled at the insult. She spoke before Axel could. “Because if Malrik hadn’t been there, I’d be dead and if you don’t believe me, then believe this.”
She raised her hand. The crimson fire surged beneath her skin, curling into her palm before exploding outward in a crackling flame that scorched the earth at her feet.
Gasps rippled through the pack wolves.
“Wolf fire…” one whispered.
“No,” Eldran muttered, paling. “Something else.”
