She pulled herself out of the paper, her eyes glowing with a fierce, ancient light. "Thank you, Hazel," the woman said. She looked like the Queen from my Gilded Academy story. "We’ve been waiting for someone to break the spine of this book." Behind her, hundreds of other characters began to crawl out of their books. Werewolves, Alphas, Mafia kings, and fallen angels. They weren't puppets anymore. They were a riot. "The characters are free!" Elle cheered, her body turning solid again. But the man at the desk didn't look defeated. He started to laugh at a high, terrifying sound that made the library walls crack.

She had read it only a couple of hundred times but couldn't get enough of it. Her favourite character was the alpha in the story. He was so caring, loving and supportive to his mate that she wished she was in her place. It was her escape from the real world and into the one she wished was real. "I wish I had a mate that would love me so much like in my story" she whispered quietly as she hugged the book to her chest. "Werewolves or vampires, which one is better?" She asked herself as she walked towards the window. She hummed and looked at the night sky. "Werewolves are better."

I wanted a character who wore her heart on her sleeve no matter how dangerous it was especially in a cruel world. I think thats what was so special about her, she wore her feeling like armour and it was beatiful and dark. And it was weak, and it was strong. And it was dangerous, and it was safe. Damn, what the fuck am I doing in my feeling?! I'm getting tiery eyed over here.
