In my observation, updates are sporadic and driven by volunteer effort. Someone has to read the new chapter, decide which details are wiki-worthy, format the entry, and avoid spoilers—that takes hours or days. During a big plot twist, you might see frantic activity; during slower arcs, the wiki can feel frozen for weeks.
For real-time notifications, your best bet is still the official publishing platform's update schedule or the author's social media. The wiki is where I go after reading, to untangle a complex magic system or finally spell that side character's name right.
