The Raven Wolf King: Wolfless
“So strong‑willed… like your mother.”
“Shut up! What do you know? Don’t you compare me to her!”
Grimm squeezes my hand, calming me.
After an unbearable silence, the King finally speaks. “Let me show you the truth.”
He snaps his fingers, and a storm of crows bursts toward Grimm and me. They strike too fast for us to react, then the world dissolves.
We are pulled into a vision.
The Raven Wolf King lies beneath a towering oak, his back pressed to the trunk, eyes closed, breaths ragged. Blood drains from the gaping wound in his chest. The battlefield around him is riddled with the fallen—men, wolves, and ravens alike.
