She pressed the blade to her wrist and sliced cleanly. Blood welled up immediately. She held her wrist out to him. "Take it." Nolan stared at the blood. His eyes darkened. Gold flickered in the depths. "Now," Gianna said. His hand shot out and grabbed her wrist. He pulled it to his mouth.

“I prefer a double bladed sward.” “I know. Vincent told me. That is why I bought you this.” Ethan grabbed a box that I didn’t realize was even there. Pulling out the most beautiful set of blades I had ever seen. They each had a tri-angled blade with three prongs at the base. Once twisted together, they made up one long double-bladed sward. Each handle was custom to fit my smaller hand, but he had it engraved. “Luna Grace…” Etched into the blades in delicate script, I was blown away.

It held an actual steel blade that gleamed with silver light. "Get behind me!" Liam roared, drawing his own weapon from a table nearby. The wraith moved faster than my eyes could follow. Its blade clashed against Liam's while Cade lunged from the side, his own weapon flashing, but the wraith was quickly overpowering them. I backed toward the wall, my heart in my throat. I needed to do something and not just stand and watch. My hand fumbled for the dagger Ronan had given me, though what good a small blade would do against this nightmare, I had no idea.

He lunged, grabbing the wrist that held the blade. In that fist wrapped around a wrist, white-knuckled, bone-crushing, I saw something I hadn't seen from him before: the raw, simple terror of losing me. His jaw flexed. He snapped the man's wrist like a twig and the blade clattered into the leaves.

X calmly reversed his blade, so that the spine was against his forearm. He pushed his arm to the side and with a flicked his wrist. “AAAHHH” shouted the man. With in the flick of his wrist, X cut though the man’s hand and the handle of the axe. The reaction was so fast that the mans fingers and handle to the axe fell as one, while his fingers attempted to grip the axe’s handle. X did not stop there. He quickly retracted the blade, dropped his elbow and pushed up.

The blades exuded an icy coldness that would send a shiver down an ordinary person’s spine at one glance. The five blades were so sharp that any small movement across the skin would slice through it. Moreover, there were only blades and not handles. These very dangerous items appeared to be tamed in this man’s hand such that the blades did not cut his fingers at all. One could see just how skillful he was. When he finished his sentence, he sent the five blades on his fingers flying toward the clock face opposite him all of a sudden. There was no sound other than whooshing. The five blades actually stabbed the red dot in the center of the clock face in succession.

Liam was there with me during my inner turmoil and whispered, "Take them in your hand. You can get your justice using the same weapons that they used against us." His voice was soothing. I picked up the first dagger, weighing it in my hand. The handle looked as though it was made from an aged bronze. It had what appeared to be a crown in the middle of a circle of swords. The blade was about eight inches long, straight, and double edged. I gently touched my finger to the blade. It was sharp. Real sharp. I grabbed the second blade in my left hand. It was identical to the first. I wrapped my hands around each dagger right above the hilt and turned to walk towards Liam.
