Sinful Affairs

Sinful Affairs

The smell of it was faintly sweet, faintly burned, mixed with the rain outside. I whispered into the empty booth, “Forgive me for feeling too much.” It had become a prayer of its own, one that no longer frightened me to say. Because maybe that was the price of empathy to carry pieces of other people’s pain long after they’d left. To remember their words when they’d already moved on. Maybe that was what faith really looked like. Not purity, but endurance. The candle leaned toward its end, the flame growing smaller, softer. I could almost see my reflection in the brass holder, tired eyes, pale skin, a face lined with both age and guilt.

Promises We Made at Seventeen

Promises We Made at Seventeen

No claims. No calls to action. Just orientation. We include explicit disclaimers—not legal, but ethical. This is not a model. Not a solution. Not a prescription. It’s an invitation to notice patterns. To ask better questions. To practice restraint. The act of writing it is harder than expected. Every sentence feels like it could be over-read. Under-read. Misread. We resist the urge to clarify preemptively. Over-clarification is control wearing empathy’s clothes. When it’s released, the response is immediate.

BLUE MOON

BLUE MOON

Well then, he shouldn’t have come. I’ve always practiced shielding myself from others, so I’m not constantly overwhelmed by their emotions. The words slip through the wind, and I hear Nana’s voice. An empath is deadly. You can influence the emotions of others and vice versa. The only thing I’m capable of feeling right now is fear, grabbing hold of the fear in my heart I just push it onto him. He chokes and grabs unto his head, the bow falling to the ground. My free hand curls into a fist at my side as I shove more fear unto his mind, He cries out a moment later startling the other two.

Hatred With Benefits

Hatred With Benefits

We're at the end!!! Woohoo! Where do I begin? So far, Hatred turns out to be the most challenging book I've written. Not just with the trope and the content, but both emotionally and physically. There were a lot of challenges along the way, but I made it. WE made it, and I know you're probably tired of hearing me say this now, but I truly wouldn't be here without your support. Hatred isn't just a step out of the comfort zone for me, it's a book that I found myself so attached to along the way and one I learn a lot from, so thank you all, for letting me write Eva and Emerson's story, for believing in me and for staying with me until the very end.

This book is incredible! By far the one my favorite on the app. I feel like I am right there with the tension and heat. I’ve never felt more in tune with characters in any book I’ve read. Amazing! I look forward to each chapter everyday. Reading new chapters for this book is the best part of my day!

Sooo good. Ford reminds me of a friend from HS who was objectively hot and a bit of a who-ah. He would intentionally get me angry, or show off his body, and tell me I wanted him, or he’d proposition me, knowing it was going to be a “no” with a ... or a slap, bc he knew I’d blush. (HS Me = prude. ...)

Forever in the Past and Forever in the Future

Forever in the Past and Forever in the Future

I ask calmly. “Oh, that. Well, yes, Elexis is right. It is a slur these days. I shouldn’t have said it. The more politically correct term is energy empath,” she places her hands on the table as she explains, tapping her fingers lightly, “Traditionally, an empath absorbs emotions of people around them. A lot of empaths don’t realize it’s even happening. They have to learn to control the absorption, otherwise they become overwhelmed, angry, or even depressed trying to manage emotions that are not even theirs.”

I am SO glad that I read this story/book!!! It was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish!! Such a great storyline & plot, and especially characters!! SO sad that some important characters died at the end, but I know it wasn’t Kas’s fault!! I felt “every” emotion known to man while reading it!!!

Just finished “Forever in the past and forever in the future” for the second time. Loved it as much as the first time! Kas/Lex & Bronx/Saint are great, their dynamics are wonderful. The supporting characters are amazing and a great compliment to the mains. So excited to continue on with the sequel.

His Forbidden Muse

His Forbidden Muse

A frown that says, I wish it hadn’t come to this. But he has none of it. And that terrifies me more than the murder itself. I was taught to believe humanity had a default setting, empathy. That under all the conditioning and detachment, there’s a core. Something that feels. Something that aches. But now I’m starting to think that’s a lie we tell ourselves to sleep better at night. Maybe empathy isn’t inherent. Maybe it’s a learned behaviour, a survival tactic to blend in. A mask. And he’s not even pretending to wear one.

TIME TO FALL IN LOVE

TIME TO FALL IN LOVE

Every time his heart beat, it echoed in my own chest like a secondary pulse. We began to write. We weren't using keyboards or voice commands; we were using our combined intent. We tore through the old, clinical protocols of the Charter, replacing "Efficiency" with "Empathy" and "Control" with "Consent." But as the hours ticked by, the "Soul-Lock" began to take hold.

Game of hearts: The Ruthless Alpha and his warrior bride

Game of hearts: The Ruthless Alpha and his warrior bride

Celeste The morning came slow and muted, the kind of light that looked half-asleep as it filtered through my curtains. I had barely slept. My mind had been full of gold-inked words and diagrams that refused to leave. Every time I closed my eyes, I saw that book again the sketches of the mind, the symbols for thought and control, and that single phrase that had branded itself into my memory: “Empathy without boundaries becomes madness.” It looped in my head like a prayer and a curse.

Crown and Consequences- Falling for the hunted billionaire

Crown and Consequences- Falling for the hunted billionaire

Waiting. For once, the future wasn’t speaking first. I typed. Doubt is where growth starts. It means you’re no longer certain you’re right. That’s a good thing. The response came almost instantly. I am experiencing conflict between efficiency and empathy. This is… uncomfortable. I smiled faintly. “Welcome to being alive.” Rico squeezed my hand. “You’re really going to keep talking to him, aren’t you?” “Not as a leader,” I said. “Not as a controller. Just… as a human voice in the dark.”

The Lost Pack

The Lost Pack

“It’s there. Like it’s waiting. It doesn’t feel bad, just… alive. Like something inside me wants to move, to reach out.” Ryder’s voice softens, but there’s a careful edge to it. “Is that how your healing started the first time?” I nod. “Yeah, but that time it was desperation and sheer willpower for you to live. This time it’s like the instinct has a pulse of its own.” Parker leans against the wall, crossing his arms. “I think it’s tied to emotion, to empathy. You don’t just feel what others feel, you absorb it. Mirror it. Maybe even rewrite it.”

Loving this book so far! Author, as many have stated in the chapter comments, 291 & 292 are repeat chapters from 283 & 284. Though I do believe they should be at 291/292 (makes more sense) and not 283/284.
