After giving up on research, I had every intention of enjoying a romance novel in the library for the rest of the day, but when Xavier came in the library looking for me, I knew from the look on his face that he had other plans. “Especially romance novels. There's something magical about getting lost in a story and experiencing all the emotions along with the characters.” Alpha Xander chuckles, his eyes sparkling with amusement. “I never would have pegged you for a romance novel enthusiast,” he admits, his tone teasing. “But I can see the appeal. There's a certain charm to stories about love and passion.” I nod in agreement, feeling a sense of camaraderie with him as we bond over our shared love of literature. “Exactly,” I say, my voice animated. “And besides reading, I also enjoy spending time outdoors, going for hikes, and exploring the beauty of nature.”

I didn't know what he was thinking, and if I could read midns like he could, then I guess he wouldn't have had anything to keep to himself. Wolves couldn't read minds.
