"Blaming yourself for not being able to control the uncontrollable." He chuckles without humor, "I guess old habits die hard huh?" I smile and nod. We fall into a comfortable silence. With my finger I trace all of the scars on his body. Some were thick and pink , some were white and shallow. But all of them hold a memory of pain. And yet they hold such perfection at the same time. Because they are what make him my Xander.

Layla scrambled back in terror, but it was too late. My claws ripped her dress, revealing the pale skin of her back. It was smooth. Flawless. There was no scar. And Myrna... Myrna had a hideous scar running from her left shoulder to her right hip. The scar I had touched a thousand times, but never once asked where it came from. "Moon Goddess," I collapsed. I hurriedly went to him and asked "Doctor h-how is she?" My voice cracked "She is completely fine. She hit her head with something which caused her to faint and open up the old scar that was on her head. Which caused the bleeding" The doctor said "Old scar?" I asked confused "Yes, the area where she got hit was already cut before. But yes her foot is injured and she will have difficulty walking for a month or two. Rather than that she is fine. She has not woke up yet and it will take her time"

I just blinked at him, and fortunately enough, he continued without waiting for my answer. "Scars are not just a sign of a life well- lived, but one's scars show that this person is a survivor. That they are stronger than whatever life could throw at them. So don't you ever think that the scars you carry because of your past make you any less worthy, instead, they indicate that you should be celebrated even more!

Her clothes were torn and there were claw marks and bite wounds all over her, the worst of which was a claw mark that traveled from her left collarbone to her right hip. Luckily it didn’t appear too deep, and someone had soaked it with a herb poultice, as if to help it heal. " I will help you." Scar said as she muttered some words placing her hand on the wound , she looked at it but her chants weren't doing justice. She repeated again and again before Hazel told her to stop

I watched her eyes hood over as an unreadable expression clouded her face immediately. “I didn't know I was interrupting something.” Sabrina's voice was low, too low for my liking. Call me crazy but I could swear I saw her fingers trembling underneath her plate. “Sorry about that.” “No, it's fine.” Xander cleared his throat before slowly peeling his hands from my body and taking away the heat radiating from his body. “ Kieran almost got herself in an accident and I caught her just in time.” “Right.” Sabrina quipped, and without sparing me so much as a glance, she walked towards one of the dinning chairs.

Bianca’s point of view “Did you do it?” Xavier barged into my room as I applied concealer to my scars, which were now healing. “I don’t know what you are talking about” I replied reluctantly, turning my head left and right to check how I had done with the makeup. Maybe the concealer? To hide the scars. Misty was still weak, and the damage was already done, so there was no point in trying to fix it anymore.

ATHENA'S POV I stood along Xavier's side as the pack doctor examined Scarlet’s wounds and bandaged them after applying some special healing ointment for werewolves. Once she was done, she started explaining Scarlet's condition to Xavier. “There are a few deep scratches and cuts on her skin. Looks like it was done by some blades and claws. Although nothing to worry about, since she is a werewolf, she will heal in about a day or two. Till then, it is preferred that she takes a good rest,” Xavier nodded.

Then when I was done, I simply said, “I hate looking at my scars and I don’t want anyone else to see them either. So, I stay covered.” Mel swam up to me. “You know what I think, Iva?” “That I’m pathetic?” She looked at me like I was crazy. “No. I think you are still letting your family control you. All of us have scars in some fashion or another. They are not who you are though. Plus, it shows how strong you are. You survived some serious and heavy shit. I’d wear those scars with pride. Not hide them away.” Sable came into the pool. She showed me her several scars. “This one here…this one is the most important one. Jaxon gave me this one. It’s how we met.”
