Eliora's POV "Is this for me?" Noah held the book carefully, both hands, the way he held everything he considered valuable. "It is," Lydia said, settling into the armchair with the kind of ease that still surprised me sometimes, how natural this had become, her in my house, in my chair, with my children climbing toward her without hesitation. Three-year-old Theo, with his curious eyes and tousled hair, snuggled up close, his little hand reaching out to touch the colorful illustrations on the pages. I didn't bother explaining further, I quickly rushed to the shelf and pulled out the book as I handed it to Xander. “This is the Book of Alphas I found here.” I said and Xander just continued to stare at the book in his hand like he was in a trance. He didn't open it and I stood there looking at him wondering what was going on. “Xander, what is it?" I asked in curiosity. He turned away from me like he wanted to walk away but my hand quickly shot out and stopped him.

Maybe. Josh pushes himself up from the floor. I bite my lip, aware of him walking towards the bookshelves but still too stuck in my head to do anything. "Yes!" I spin around, seeing Josh grab a book off the shelf. "Oh! And this one for sure! Mmmm maybe this one, Xavier seems like he could be the kinky type." Kinky? He comes back over to me, handing me three books. "I think these will give you a better reference." I raise a brow, hesitantly taking them from him. "These two," he taps on two of them, "are realistic and sweet. Reminds me of you two. This one," he taps the third, a devious smile growing on his face, "is what I bet Xavier is like in bed."

His mother half yelled. Xan hunny.. food is ready. Lexa yelled. Okay Mom.. I'll be down there very soon. Roxanne half yelled too. God! This horror book wasn't horrific at all. It was enticing..she wanted nothing except the book. She was already in the Fourth chapter, the chapter was all about humans transforming into wolves during every full moon. There was a small note saying; _I *wrote this book_ _because I want_ _every other teenager_ _out there, who has been_ _given the gift to transform_ _every full moon to be Happy_ _about their gift._

Kennedy POV. The weather was bad, but I needed to get that new book, it's Robert birthday gift, who'd knew a grown up man would kill for the newest werewolf love book. I got into my car, drove carefully toward the local book store, they had the new book reserved for me. It was supposed to one quick drive, until I walked into the library. A girl was sitting on a bean bag, her blond hair was covering her eyes with overgrown bangs, she tried to huff them away from her face but to no use. She looked young, maybe she's just here with her parents, looking down at the book she had in her hands it was a kids story. Does she read for the local kids? Or is it just for her?

He crosses his arms, eyeing me like all my lies were being broadcasted on a bulletin board right smack dab on my forehead. His wolf seems to claw its way to the surface, because he prowls towards me like I’m his prey. He leans forward so his mouth is next to my ear. I feel his breath ghosting over my skin. My body shivers at the light contact. He isn’t even touching me and my body is silently begging for it. “You keep telling yourself that,” he growls into my ear, calling me out my bullshit. “Vixi.”

I growled, crouching low, "I'll rip that book out of your hands and burn it with you." "You can't even touch me, Alpha." Xander opened the Ledger. The pages began to turn on their own, a blurred storm of parchment and ink, "You see, in the new history I’m writing, you never made it to this mill. You never even left the pack house. You never even fell in love with Darius.” He slammed the book shut. Suddenly, the world around me began to blur. The sound of the saws faded into a dull hum, and the honey-coloured wood of the mill started to grey and rot before my eyes. The heat vanished, replaced by a biting, supernatural cold.
