SAMANTHA’S POV The days after the final board review stretched into a strange new normal that still felt fragile, like glass that could shatter if we breathed too hard. I woke up most mornings in Wesley’s bed now, the sheets tangled around us, his arm heavy across my waist as if even in sleep he was afraid I might slip away again. Not only that, there were three rooms on that floor. "Have you come?" continued Ha Mino with a thin smile. The woman who was nearby also walked towards Lee Umji. "Introduce her, Lee Umji, translator and editor as well," Ha Mino said, introducing her. "Oh I am a former journalist and currently studying writing a biography. My name is Yoo Dami." I knew what I was doing wasn't safe but I needed her close where I could watch her. She would also need to feed in the night, and that would save me the trip of going to the nursery and encountering Onari and any possible antics she may put up. I suddenly remembered mother was around, so I got up once more to go check on her. I knocked twice on the guest room door. No answer. I tried the handle and pushed it opened. AUTHOR'S POV. The moonlight flittering in, casting eerie shadows across the room,Pamela sat on her bed in the room she now shared with Dawn. She bit her lips anxiously as she stared at the door waiting for Dawn to return back to the room after seeing his parents off. Suddenly the door creaked open and Dawn walked in, Pamela got up and ran towards him, her brows furrowed in curiosity. “What did your mother say?” She questioned. “Is she still angry?”

Micah opened the door to the room that smelled of lavender and potatoes, but nothing could mask the overwhelming scent that made his chest ache: warm vanilla and winter blossoms. Xenia. His mate. The atmosphere had completely changed, softened. The girls had rearranged the space with blankets and cushions, forming a nest of makeshift beds. Damian indeed loved her, but she'd been too caught up in her fears to fully embrace it. “Come here." Damian's mother said and suddenly pulled Sasha into a hug, catching her off guard. “It's so nice to finally meet you.” “Likewise.” Sasha said awkwardly before Roxana broke the hug. “Why don't you go home and rest for a bit, dear? You look like you haven't had any proper sleep in days. I'll stay here with my son.” She turned to Rafael. “I can at least sleep in my son's room, right? I promise not to do anything to disturb his sleep.”
