Ya Books About Werewolves Novels & Stories

The rest of the world could have burned down, and in here, it would still smell like old paper and ink. Perfect. I’d pulled three entire stacks of books around me, a fortress of leather bindings and worn pages: histories of werewolves, dense texts on Lycans, thin, brittle pamphlets about old bloodlines, even obscure case studies of wolfless wolves and the rare, desperate stories of those who’d somehow triggered their first shift late in life. None of it helped.

Zelena. I opened my eyes slowly. The sun was already shining brightly through the window. I reached my arm behind me and felt around the bed. I sat up quickly and looked around the room. Gunner wasn’t there. I took a deep breath and yawned stretching my arms out. Wait, my chest didn’t hurt. I twisted my back from side to side waving my arms in the air, my ribs didn’t hurt at all. I got up from the bed and walked around the room, still no pain. I noticed the bookshelf and decided to take a look. There were so many books, some with older worn covers and others newer looking. I picked up a small red book and read the cover ‘A Lycanthropy Reader; WEREWOLVES IN WESTERN CULTURE’. I flicked through

“No weapons—just claws and will. Begin when you’re ready.” Mara lunged without warning, her movements a blur of speed, her fist aimed at Alya’s chest. Alya sidestepped, her body rippling as she shifted mid-motion—her human form dissolving into Ember, the sleek auburn wolf emerging with a flash of silver light. Ember’s fur gleamed like polished copper, her fiery eyes locking onto Mara, claws sparking against the earth as she dodged another strike. The pack gasped, then cheered, the clearing vibrating with their energy.

Jace chuckled a little and Gabriel glared hard at him as they walked to the car. ~ “There should be a book about this, why can't I find any?” Aurora muttered as she kept going through the books in Lucino’s study. She was searching for books on dreams but all she kept seeing were ancient stories of different supernatural but mostly werewolves. After going through almost all the books, she finally decided to pick a random book to read. She picked up a book about how the year 1901 went and decided to read it. She took a seat in his study and started reading it, before she knew it, she got engrossed in the story.

Liya etched, her voice infusing sadness and disappointment into me. “We can at least try again. It’s been forever since we tried, and I am willing to do that now,” I retorted, assuring my wolf that we would get to the bottom of this together. Liya grumbled, “Let’s start with researching. Enough about the red wolves. It’s time to read other books and find out who we are.” Sensing my wolf’s fear of the unknown, I nodded and dropped the book I was holding. I was ready to pick another, titled Howls of the Ancients: Mystical Forces and Werewolf History.

“Wow. You have beautiful eyes.” “T-thanks.” Her lips curved into a tentative smile as if she shouldn’t be doing the smiling thing. She kicked imaginary rocks as she spoke. “You’re too pretty, you shouldn’t be talking to the school’s outcast.” “Outcast?” I echoed. If anyone here was an outcast, it was me. I was the only human in a school full of werewolves. “There’s no such thing as an outcast. If I want to talk to you, I will.” I added with a smile. “Are you new here, too?”

My alarm’s blaring woke me up. I groaned and rolled over checking the time. It was 5:02, the time I usually woke up to do my chores in the pack house. Turning onto my face, I realized my injuries didn't hurt anymore. I healed very quickly for a regular wolf. It was one of my peculiarities, I guess. Right, I hadn't shifted yet. I just turned 19 a few months ago but I still hadn't shifted. How wonderful.

This reminds me of around three years ago when Ramon and I went on an mission in all the Packs to have meetings with the leaders so as to plan on how to deal with the rogues menace. We were in one small Pack in the southern part of the werewolf kingdom and we were being hosted by the alpha and the Luna of that small pack. The Pack wasn't rich in natural resources and businesses were down and since we spent five days there, we ate deep fried chicken gizzards every single day. Every meal comprised of gizzards since the only thing they could rear was chicken.

The drama that was playing on the stage was about the little boy who , a special born who killed his mother, the Luna of the pack. " I hope we are following." Ruckus said, eyeing Derek. He smiled. It was obvious Derek was getting uncomfortable. " The story is about a young special born wolf who took the life of his own mother. " " That's strange." Alpha of the blood river pack said. " Quite sad. The boy mus be a curse to the pack." Ruckus giggled. " I bet he is. Someone like that gas to be a monster that will keep killing without stopping. " He eyed Derek.

There wasn’t a point in time exactly when she could say definitively it would happen. (Here end Wolves at the Lycan’s Door. Thank you for reading. I hope you enjoyed it. Want to read more?
