Finally, Xander fell to his hands and knees, breathing unevenly as the transformation concluded. He leaned back on his heels and pulled me into his embrace, kissing me and running his fingers through my damp hair. I hurriedly placed the towel over Xander’s naked body and cupped his face, forcing him to look at me. His eyes had returned to their beautiful pale grey colour. “I’ve missed you so much!” he exclaimed, a little out of breath. I smiled at his words and I hugged him tightly, feeling grateful to have him back by my side. He leaned in and kissed the tip of my nose before turning to Diana, who had stepped back to give us some privacy.

“That’s my good girl.” Xander leaned over my small frame, and my body tingled with anticipation. His head traveled lower and lower until it was hovering just above my weeping core. I watched as his eyes went impossibly black, and he breathed in my essence. Seeing this made me even wetter than before, causing me to furiously chew on my bottom lip to stifle my moans. We locked eyes with one another for a brief moment before Xander shut his and slowly shook his head. When he again looked at me, I could see that he had cleared some of the lust, but not all of it.

Xavier said while clenching his teeth. “You are helping her? This abomination? The dirty blood?”Amy screamed and Amanda felt the rage covering her body. She growled and Xavier looks at her with a stone expression. “Amanda, calm down,” Daniel screamed. “Oh no monster, she is a monster, her eyes,” Amy screamed and ran out of the room. “Amanda calms down,” Xavier said while looking into her eyes. She tried to push him away but he was strong. She was screaming and screeching like a monster.

His breathing was uneven. And still— He was trying to get to her. Her chest tightened painfully. “Get out,” she whispered. “No.” “You need to leave.” “I’m not leaving you.” The certainty in his voice nearly broke her. The Crimson Alpha slammed Xander backward hard enough to send him crashing into one of the stone pillars. Bailey’s heart stopped. “Xander!” The Crimson Alpha turned toward her slowly now. Victorious. Patient. Like this had already been decided. “You feel it now, don’t you?” he said softly.

“It’s not my fault you let yourself believe it.” The crowd murmured again, their voices harsh and accusatory. “She thought she could be a Luna?” someone whispered. “An omega, dreaming above her station,” another sneered. The walls closed in on me. “I… I’m your mate,” I said weakly, my hand clutching at my chest. “You can’t do this. You can’t!” Xander’s expression darkened, and he stepped closer, towering over me. “I, Alpha Xander of the Moon-Waters Pack, reject you, Nara Cliff, as my mate,” he said, his voice cold and final.

"Do you wanna go out?" She muttered faintly. So faintly that he'd have mistaken it for a rush of wind if he was human. "What?" Xavier blurted out in disbelief, tightening his hold onto the bridge railing. Aster scoffed, "You have super hearing and for what?" "Sorry, I was just taken aback." Xav shyly averted his gaze and stared at the ground, unable to look her in the eye. "Are you serious?" She sighed, "You know how much I hate putting myself in this kinda situation so hell yeah, I'm serious."

“You made me bathe in that yucky ice water. Help me wash off.” Andrea would say something, but she felt like something was poking her. She didn’t have to look down to find out what it was. Gryphon didn’t have a lustful look in his eyes; he even seemed to be a bit embarrassed. At this, she realized that he was turned on by her biting. When her eyes glittered, Gryphon closed his eyes and growled. “Andy, no. Just… just get it off me. I’m not… ignore it. No, seriously, just ignore it.”

In fact, he was unsatisfied with her. The male lead of the novel, Xander, was a man who thought too highly of himself and he did not think a weak omega was worthy of being his Luna. He was also a man with no regard for women as he could get anyone he wanted so getting with a woman like Lily who was plain-faced and lacked any tangible ‘assets’ did not appeal to him. However, through the power of the mate bond and Lily’s sincerity in loving him despite how often he pushed her away, he began to fall for her.

“If you were strong, you wouldn’t need chains and blades to prove it.” Nyla’s lips curled into a cruel smirk. “Fine. If blood won’t break you, I have something better.” The heavy door groaned open. Boots echoed across the chamber floor. Xander. He stepped into the torchlight, his broad frame casting shadows along the stone walls. His expression was dark, unreadable, his gaze fixed on me with that hunger I despised. Nyla’s smile widened. She spread her hand toward me like a gift. “I promised you a little surprise, didn’t I? Here she is. She’s all yours.”

Author's POV The female beta approached Xander and immediately introduced herself. "I, Ralia, you must be Xander, the dangerous rogue prince, right?" Xander took a few steps back in anticipation. "Don't be afraid..." "I'm not afraid of you, I'm just wary," Xander replied quickly. "Who are you looking for in the forest of the alphas? Do you want to steal the Alpha's treasure?" Xander chuckled, "The alpha's treasure? Do I look so poor that I would steal from those poor alphas?"
