Her Tears His Regret
Her eyes locked on mine the second she entered, and I instantly felt weird—watched, judged, like I’d already failed some test she hadn’t said out loud.
“Uh… hi?” I said, taking a step forward. “Who—”
She didn’t even let me finish. She moved so fast, it didn’t register until her hand was around my neck.
“What the hell—!” I gasped, grabbing her wrist.
Her fingers tightened. I struggled against her grip, kicking, clawing, but she didn’t even flinch. And when I looked into her face—her eyes—I froze.
They were yellow.
Not hazel. Not gold. Bright, glowing yellow like something out of a horror movie. My brain couldn’t even process it.
