Several times, people found her passed out beside the grave. I let out a cold laugh and casually deleted the tutoring job advertisement from the part-time work group chat. A roommate who had gone to apply came back and complained, "I've never seen such a beautiful girl before. It's a shame she's so sickly. She gets out of bed and can barely catch her breath." That was Luna at seventeen, like an elf carefully raised inside a mansion. And when that elf finally grew wings and gained the freedom to fly beyond those walls, she found me and dropped to one knee to propose.

But I let greed win. Greed for Ryan Wills — the star, the idol, the man adored by millions. I was smitten by the fact that a superstar had chosen me, a nobody. I was carrying his child, and I thought that was enough. I sacrificed everything for that illusion, my best friend, my education, my career, everything like a fool.

After that apology video, Dominic attempted to contact me. "Aurora, I know you don't want to see me, but… I have some words I'd like to say to you face to face, even if it means I'll die." I blocked his number. He no longer had any right to bother or affect me in any way. The next day, the kingdom was celebrating the annual Full Moon Festival at the square. Dressed in an exquisite gown, I stood on a platform as the citizens paid homage to me.

Everything was falling into place exactly as she had hoped. Strutting out of the airport, Tabitha caught the faint sound of someone calling her name. She turned her head in the direction of the voice and saw her name printed on a huge sign in the waiting crowd. “Tabitha! Tabitha Bray!” Holding a placard up, Koben Nash squeezed his way out of the crowd and took quick paces to Tabitha. The confused look on Tabitha’s face didn’t upset Koben. Instead, he joked with a smile, “What? Did you forget me in just three years, Tabs?”

He looked at her and immediately understood what she had been through. “That kind of night huh?” he asked as he paced to the kitchen to fix her something. Jessica nodded and dropped herself on the couch. She scrolled through the channels. All the channels were showing the repeated shows from the previous day. She finally arrived at a news channel which was airing the weather updates. It was the only news she cared about at the moment. Adam returned with two mugs of hot chocolate. He handed the bigger mug to Jessica and she pecked him on the cheek in return. Adam joined her on the couch. A middle aged meteorologist arrived in front of the green screen weather map wearing overly formal attire.

She needed to warn him. "Welcome to the Evening Star." Travis said as if he was introducing a title of a play. "Evening star." Jason scoffed behind them. "Travis. Give me Morgan." Gavin's voice echoed with authority. Travis' crew seem to almost back away at the sound of Gavin's voice. The rage in it was terrifying. " You have a thing for redheads now. I thought blondes were your thing. Want to see if her blood matches her hair color?" Travis said the smirk on his face growing.
