Briar does leave a lasting effect on people, sometimes even unintentionally. One thing that made her noticeable easily was her hair. Shining light brown and very long, reaching her lower back, probably even lengthy. Not straight, not curly either. You can say somewhere in the middle? Considering how hard it to take care of voluminous hair, most students have shorter hair. But hers, appear different.

Briar sat next to me, signaling the bartender to bring him a shot. “Well you look like shit” I chuckled. “I'd say worse for you” He forced a smile, sighing endlessly. I suppose things weren't going well with him either. “Had a fight with Ivy?” I asked, as we took the shots in front of us. The bartender knew his assignment, as he wasted no time in refilling our glasses. Briar didn't reply immediately, he took his shot and exhaled deeply. “She's really mad about the whole thing, I'm scared she might actually break up with me”

But no, Briar, was very stubborn, and he couldn't even influence her because she kept saying if he tried it, it might affect the baby negatively and even though he knew it might not or wouldn't even happen that way, he decided to humour the woman and back off. Now, he was sitted at Noona's cabin, sipping tea. The old woman had gone for the Challenge and though every bone in his body seemed to have shouted at him, begging him to go there, but he knew Ravenna could handle this. And as he smashed the china cup in his hand, the fifth one already as he thought, he knew Noona would ask for his head later. And where was Briar? She was supposed to be here with him. Ah fuck, he really wanted to go...

Briar was a deep thinker, so the less Raina said about it, the more it weighed on his mind. Sure enough, after a quiet breath, Briar pulled the topic back to the ginger soup she didn’t want to talk about. He said, “The ginger soup.” Raina took another sip of tea, shook her head with a bit of helplessness, and said, “Senior, you’re really something... I’ve been trying not to bring it up. Why do you have to keep dragging it back?” Why he insisted on it, Raina knew all too well. Briar was always tight-lipped and serious in front of others, but with her, he was like an innocent, clueless boy — unable to hide even a speck of dust in his eyes or a secret in his heart.

"This is—wow." Zac chuckled softly. "My grandfather was a big reader. He quoted literature as if he were a human book himself." I turned to look at Zac, my eyes lit up. "Zac, this is amazing." Zac shrugged nonchalantly, smiling. "I thought you'd like it." He walked over to one wall, skimming the shelves until he pulled out a book. "I wanted you to have this." I looked at the book he held out for me to take. It was called "Bloom" by Kelle Hampton. I smiled at the title, meeting his eyes. "Wha—but why?"

Baji heard the voices louder and clearer, he could tell he was getting closer and could also tell the source was from a group of people since he heard several voices. Baji kept going closer, moving through the branches and trees to get to where he thought was the place. "Who is there? " A male voice shouted towards Baji's direction. Baji stopped for a second but continued since he didn't know what was happening "Shhh, keep quiet everyone, I think someone is coming " Another person said and everyone kept quiet and waited. He cut the call without another word. THE BRATVA'S EMPIRE The iron gates of the Bratva’s Empire loomed ahead, black and towering, the Morozov crest carved into steel. Armed guards stood at each side, rifles in their hands, faces blank masks. As Mikhail’s car rolled closer, the beams of its headlights caught the silver edge of their weapons. The gates creaked open with deliberate slowness, metal groaning as though even the compound itself acknowledged the weight of who was arriving.

My wristband screamed – a high – pitched alarm warning of a critical stress spike. I scrambled to pull myself fully onto the safety of the ledge, but the rock beneath my stomach began to crumble. I started to slide backward. Below me was a sheer, deadly drop to the crashing Pacific Ocean. Above me, Brent peered over the edge. He didn't look horrified. He looked entirely triumphant. He lifted his heavy combat boot and hovered it directly over my bleeding, trembling fingers. "See you at the bottom, princess," he sneered. He brought his boot down hard.
