It filled the chamber like a second sunrise—silver and gold and violet. The throne screamed. The King shrieked as cracks split his form, light seeping through every seam. “You… are… mine—!” Aelin stood tall, her mother at her side, her power unleashed. “No,” she whispered. “I am my own.” The throne exploded. The chamber collapsed. Stone fell. Shadows wailed. When the dust settled, the King was gone. The throne was ash. And Aelin stood in the center of it all—breathing, crying, alive.

Kael roared, struggling against the pull, claws out, teeth bared. And then came the voice. Not from the Prophetess. Not from the world. But from the throne itself. **“She is not the Queen.”** The Prophetess froze. The throne pulsed. Runes flared red. *“The Queen still sleeps.”* Darkness burst from the stone and slammed into the Prophetess, lifting her from the ground. Her scream tore the air apart.
