Jayden whispers in shock. My head is pounding and I feel dizzy. Tara is Keturah, the moon goddess. The woman who has been helping me all this while is the moon goddess? I always knew she was different, but it never occurred to me. “Keturah, blessed goddess, mother of our kind, it's an honour to have you in our midst”, Kreed says, going one knee. Everybody in the room does the same including, Jayden. I keep sitting, trying my best to see through the tears that have clouded my vision.

“The original four that gave a drop of blood to forge the stones were gods and goddesses. So far we have deduced it was most likely Bastet, the goddess of werecats. Morrigan herself, the witch and goddess of the forest. The great grandfather of the sky and…” “And?” Finn asked, closing in on his sister, trying to bully the answer from her. Of course, Hunji steps in front of her protectively and stares down Finn until he relaxes and takes a step back.

Let us all be frustrated. “If I may,” Fredja asks. “Who put up the barrier for your family?” “Our deity,” he answers. “You would know her as the Moon Goddess.” “Oh, you have got to be kidding me,” I mutter. “No offense but I am getting really tired of this goddess.” “Damien!” I look over at her and see her glaring at me. “What?!” I ask. “How can you say that?” she demands. “She is our goddess!”

She added and Adira’s eyes widened the more in terror. “Who you saw in your dream is the moon goddess, she showed herself to you and the punishment, looks like she’s displeased with you,” Adira tried her best to explain, she knew who it was because herself and Clarissa had once had similar encounter with the goddess, “we need to summon the priest later tonight and offer some sacrifice to appease her. This is a bad omen, what did you do?” She asked and Valerie could hear the fear in her voice which only made her fear too.

A smile played on her lips. “Give me your hand, child,” Mother Goddess said. Offering her left hand, she watches with awe what she was doing. Mother Goddess drew a moon inside a circle. “Now, forget this.” Mother goddess said, as she lightly poke Allorah’s forehead. Like nothing ever happens, Allorah turns away. Mother Goddess, watch her leave. “Now that destiny has been sealed, that child will suffer. But at the end everything will be for him,” Mother Goddess said as she looked back at the fountain. An image appeared.

The sight of her, resplendent in her multicolored fur, with the unmistakable marking of a pizza slice tattoo etched upon her shoulder, down to her belly, stirred something within him. In that moment, he knew with a certainty that resonated deep within his soul—she was the one. The chosen vessel through which the goddess would deliver salvation to their land which was about to be polluted by corrupt power. With the crescent moon emblazoned upon her forehead, she stood as a beacon of hope in the encroaching darkness, a symbol of the ancient power that coursed through her veins.

Jayden blurted out in anger. Staring at him with a blank expression, Rex kept mute until Jayden sat back down with a vicious anger. "As I was saying,” He kept on. "Jaylen is the Moon Goddess chosen Alpha. He is the Moon Goddess Choice and any attempt to go against this would result to the destruction of us all. And I don't think we want that—“ Jayden growled attempting to jump at Rex, but he got beaten to it by his twin brother. "No way! No way this is really happening!" Jaylen stood up with rage.

Her ambivalent parents aside, she'd never had someone in her corner. "Well," Ceara offered, fingering her pentagram charm necklace. "For witches, the trinity knot is symbolic of the threefold nature of the Goddess. Mother Goddess represents creation, the Maiden for innocence, and the Crone for wisdom. It also reflects on the forces of nature¡ªearth, fire, and water. The three interlocking circles are emblematic of our sacred casting circles."

For the first time in her life, she felt desperate and hated the Moon Goddess for placing her in such a situation, for making her feel so weak, so worthless, and so unattractive. She didn't believe the wolf-less bi**h was the Emperor's mate, but all the same, she hated the Moon Goddess for making Yusria beautiful enough to attract the attention of her beloved man. "You don't need to provoke me, Lady Eradine. My mate is breathtakingly beautiful and I'm not ashamed to admit I'm captivated by her. However, since you seem desperate, I'll accept your challenge on my mate's behalf. But I have a condition..." Zeonen swept his gaze over the eager and impatient crowd and smiled evilly.

"Sashi is the voice of the larger Goddess, Selene. Do you know who that is? They groan as I shake my head. They disappear from the room and return with a poster. It seems familiar: a circle with crescent moons to the left and right. The same as the engraving on the box Ariella had left for me. "This is the Triple Moon Symbol. It is often seen in most pagan faiths. See how it represents the moon's phases? Here is the waxing crescent—" They point to the crescent on the left, "This is the full moon—" Their finger is on the circle. Finally, they place their finger on the declining crescent on the right side. This emblem depicts the three Moon Goddesses. There is a lot of debating about which thr
