Zombies 2 Moonstone Necklaces Novels & Stories

When she turned around and got up to grab the laptop off the dresser, I noticed a mark on the back of her neck. “What’s that, Babe?” I asked her. “What’s what?” she responded looking back at me. I stood up and moved the towel from her neck and there it was, as clear as day. A bright red triple moon emblem, just like the symbol of the Moon Goddess. When Zee was unconscious after her attack, I remember seeing a pale pink crescent moon on the back of her neck. But this is different, the colour is darker and its grown. It's not just the crescent shape, now it's the whole marking. That’s not exactly a commonly shaped birthmark.

He turned and pulled me to my feet, his grip on my arm firm enough to hurt. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a necklace. Even from a distance, I could see what it was made of. Teeth. Human and wolf teeth, strung together on a leather cord. “A gift,” Zeus said, loud enough for everyone to hear. “Made from the fallen competitors of previous games. A reminder that even in death, they serve Stormclaw.” He fastened it around my neck himself, his fingers lingering possessively on my skin. The teeth felt heavy and wrong, carrying the weight of the lives they’d been torn from.

There was a skeleton inside and in it’s boney hands was a crescent moon, glowing brightly and filling the entire room with light. “My Luna was the only one worthy to guard the moon piece,” said Draco sadly. He lifted the piece out and gave it to Hazel. Her eyes turned white and she fell to the ground weakly. “Are you okay?” I asked , helping her up to her feet. “Yes I am.” I let go of her and turned to the skeleton in the coffin. Around her neck there was a beautiful pendant of a golden crescent moon. I gasped. “Beware of the golden Moon…”

The agony made me feel as though I were suffocating, and I hurriedly ended the call. However, in the next second, my phone chimed. Rose had sent me another photo. In the photo, Walter was lying on his side on the bed, while Rose was curled up against him like a docile kitten. She was even using his arm as a pillow. Without a doubt, this position was almost exactly like the one in the photo I had sent her last night. But what truly shattered me was the sight of the moonstone necklace around her neck. That necklace was a Zimmer family heirloom that symbolized the Luna. It was said to bring good luck and help calm the mind.

Dried and dormant for three centuries, now reignited by her granddaughter. The red moonstone necklace around my throat blazed to life at the same moment. Dark crimson and blood-gold light wove together beneath the dome. The necklace soaked in blood three centuries ago now hung around the throat of the Mother of All Wolves, completing its purpose. The silver pendant against my collarbone glowed too, a thread-fine, faint silver-white melding into the gold and red. The two wolf fangs on my wrist clicked together softly in the light, a sound only I could hear. The thistle bundle tied at my waist soaked in the radiance, the edges of its dried leaves rimmed with the faintest gilded shimmer.

“But every heart leaves a scar where it touched the moon.” Tendrils of dark energy lashed out from his dissolving chest. They moved too fast to dodge. They speared straight into the moonstone at my throat. I choked as it punched through me like cold fire. The crack in the stone flared black for a heartbeat, then glowed sickly green at the edges. “What the moon gave,” Zorak’s laughter rolled on, thick and triumphant, “it will soon take back.”

"Seeing you today, it's really true." Every word was a knife. "Thank you for taking care of Damon all these years." Her tone was so fake it was nauseating. Then, she deliberately touched the necklace around her neck. The moonstone necklace Damon had promised would be mine. The heirloom of the pack's Luna. "Oh!" Chloe suddenly pointed to my collarbone. "You have a crescent moon birthmark there too? What a coincidence!" I froze. I stared at her collarbone, at the mark in the exact same spot as mine.
