She picked the brown kitten up and stroked it, humming softly to herself to keep the fear at bay. The kitten purred and rested in her lap she smiled and sang softly. "Ya lili, ya lila, washbish nishkee lik'amma, oogaloo leelela, sgheeru fee–" There was a rustle. "Even in gibberish, your singing is awful."
