“What’s going on?” “First of all, that baby isn’t mine–” Adara didn’t give me time to say anything else. “What do you mean that baby isn’t yours?” she asked me. “If that baby was mine, Mom, Kari would be 34-weeks pregnant, not 32,” I said to her. “Okay, you do realize that due dates can differ up to three weeks. Doctors are just human, they make mistakes, Kai,” Adara said, gently. “Then how else do you explain what’s wrong with the baby if it is mine?” I asked her.

Sasha stared at her in disbelief as she yelled, "Yvette, what nonsense are you talking about? You were the one who made me do it!" Only then did Sasha realize Yvette had an ability to twist the truth. She finally understood the helplessness of being unable to defend herself. However, Sasha was not like me, who would silently endure everything. She pointed at Yvette and told Joseph, "Yvette has been vicious ever since she was a child! When she was ten years old, she tampered with your parents' car just to compete for favor. That accident eight years ago was caused by Yvette!" The room fell into dead silence after what Sasha said.

"You're not angry?" "Angry?" He looked very surprised. I nodded quickly. But, he shook his head slowly. "What do I have to be angry about with someone's mind? A person thinks because of the information that comes to them, right?" I nodded... without hesitation. "And that person tends not to know the truth of that information, whatever it is. Well! That's where the misunderstanding gap occurs. That!" He pointed at me casually. "Ah ...." I sighed tiredly. "Luke ...." I looked at him with a face full of regret. "I'm sorry ...."

Ignoring everything. Not again. right?

Molly asked. "Katie..." He choked out, pain reverberated through his body, when he uttered her name. "What...Why?" Nessa asked, having been informed, that Logan had found his mate. Shaking his head in guilt, tears brimming his eyes, "It was my entire fault...!" He stuttered out, slamming his hand down on the desk with force, "I was an asshole and I distanced myself from her, all because I felt she had betrayed our bond..." He stated, emotions running high, "And it was all a huge misunderstanding on my part, I thought she had a baby by another guy...and all this damn fucking time, it was her brother!"

He turned the laptop screen so everyone could see. "What you built is nothing more than a basic motion detector. If the movement doesn't meet the exact standard you set, it automatically marks it as a failure. It has no real technical capability. Aside from detecting a raised hand, it can't actually recognize anything!"

But understanding did not erase the reality of what had happened. I thought carefully about the difference between understanding and excusing. To understand was to know why something happened, to see the influences and fears that drove a person. But to excuse was to say that those reasons made it okay, that the hurt caused did not matter, or that the person did not need to take responsibility.
