The voice on the other end laughed again. "We'll be in touch soon, Agent Miriam," it said. "And you'll know exactly what to do." The line went dead, and Miriam was left standing alone in her apartment, her gun still pointed out. She knew that she had to act fast, to rescue Ben and uncover the truth. But she also knew that she had to be careful, that she couldn't let her emotions cloud her judgment.
