If it weren't for Bryce egging him on, Moses would probably stay single for the rest of his life. "Alright. You can get someone to send us the tickets. Holly and I will crash your date on Saturday." You don’t want to miss it.” She glances at the screen, then back at me, a playful glint in her eyes. “Is this one of those cheesy rom-coms?” she teases, but there’s no real bite in her words. She’s just trying to play along, to keep things light. I chuckle, shaking my head. “It’s not cheesy. It’s... endearing.” “The title is ‘Much a do about love’. You hate rom-coms.” “It’s endearing, stop questioning me.”

It felt good. After dinner, we moved to the couch. Roman pulled me into his lap, but it wasn’t sexual. He just held me, one hand stroking my back while the other played with my curls. We watched a silly rom-com on his massive TV, commenting on how unrealistic it was, laughing at the cheesy lines. At one point, I turned in his lap to face him, straddling his thighs. "Let's just order room service and watch a movie. Something light." I raised an eyebrow, amused by her suggestion. "A movie, huh? What did you have in mind?" She flashed a mischievous grin. "How about a romcom? 'When Harry Met Sally' is a classic." I groaned playfully, feigning dismay. "A romcom? You're going to subject me to that?" Her laughter filled the room, infectious and carefree. "Oh, come on, Liam. It's a great movie. You might even like it."

Ryder bought tickets ahead of time, because of course he did, and led me straight to the good seats. I was lowkey preparing myself for some blood-and-guts or steamy disaster, but then the screen lit up, and the title rolled in. And I froze. It was a Korean rom-com. Not just any rom-com. A BL rom-com. I literally sat there with my jaw unhinged, staring at the screen like I’d just been handed a golden ticket to heaven.

He hums. I continue speaking. “You know, almost the same thing happens in every romantic movie. Still, it’s just so…perfect. The whole meetcute, love at first sight, enemies to lovers, fake relationships. All those cliche troupes are the best. I just can’t get enough of them.” I continue talking. “Then something silly and inconsequential happens and they have a big fight.” Ronan mumbles.
