Werewolf Pack Ranks Novels & Stories

Over the course of time, I learned a few things about werewolves. They lived in packs and the pack had a leader called alpha, the second in command was called the beta, and the third gamma. There was not much information about the royals in any of the books. They did not interfere with the working of the packs but if two packs were having serious problems then the royals would take their decision and it would be the last decision. I needed to ask Ruhee for more books. She knew things but was reluctant about telling me any information that Damien might not like. Books were the loophole in this case.

Some packs can decide to have another supernatural being if they want. It wasn’t just those in leadership positions that held rank in a pack. Once a werewolf joined a pack, either automatically when their wolves shifted for the very first time or when they pledged themselves to a new Alpha, their wolves were essentially ranked. The higher the rank, the stronger their wolves were. Stripping that rank was a mark of shame, which weakened the wolves and human alike. Thank you :) So, Werewolves in this story reside in packs, like normal wolves, but they live in modern houses, and do things that other people do. But here they have rankings, similar to a pack. Alpha, is the head of the pack. The highest werewolf. Beta is the second in command, almost as powerful as the Alpha, but the Alpha is obviously superior. Then comes gamma, the third in command, and then delta, fourth in command.

It was almost as if they were deities, and I couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to be in their presence. She told me about the werewolf hierarchy, and the word "Luna" caught my attention, but I decided to remain silent for the time being. I could always ask her about it later. It rarely comes as a surprise to the werewolf, their families, or the wider community, but it is nice for us all to clearly acknowledge the coming of age.
