I played a tutorial and sat in front of the mirror. I put on the foundation but that was too light for my tone. I tried to blend it but still it looked uneven, after all the efforts I made. I thought that maybe smokey eyes will look hot. I put a stroke of black shadow on my eyelid. But it ended up looking like dark circles. I wiped it with my hand and it smudged all over my face. It looked like somebody punched me in the eye. Renee walked in the room appologising for being late but the second she saw me her appology turned into anger.

Once that was done, I tried to put it up on a bun, but because my hair was too short, half of it fell out. I started my makeup. Putting the most effort ever into my face. Why is it that when you really need your makeup to look good, it doesn't? I huffed and groaned at the mirror every now and then in frustration when my eyeshadow wasn't setting properly, and a lot of fallout came out of my brush onto my cheekbones. "Argh! Fuck!" I groan and wipe the bit off of my cheek. I heard a soft rasp at the door and nearly screamed at the person who knocked.

I had not gone down in two weeks, scared to walk out, not used to it anymore. My fingers were at their darkest, skinnier if I might say. My eyes had stopped changing, the transition complete with my left eye pure white and my right eye black. I had said I would try to see what I could do but I tried flying and it was an epic fail, tried summoning darkness and it did not work so I gave up. Maybe I was just too in my head, maybe I wanted to be something great when I was not. Maybe the black and white did not mean anything, it was just the look of my people of which after reading so many books I learned of no creature with such features.

His confusion grew as he wondered what could be happening to him, and why he felt so weak, his head ached so much. He grabbed a clean towel, gently patting his face dry, his eyes involuntarily drawn to the reflection in the mirror. As he glanced at his weary countenance, a gasp escaped his lips. There, amidst the strands of his once vibrant hair, he discovered a patch of gray, a stark contrast to the darkness that still prevailed. The realization struck him like a bolt of lightning, and his heart sank. Almost half of his eyes has turned into grey, and he knew why it was like that, the realization hit him hard.

Time To Own It As she gazes into the mirror, a wave of disappointment washes over her. The reflection staring back reveals dark circles beneath her eyes, remnants of restless nights haunted by a whirlwind of unsettling images and frantic thoughts that thumped like a wild drum in her chest. With a determined sigh, she splashes cool water on her face, feeling the refreshing droplets cascade down her skin.

The second one made me look like I had lost a fight with a permanent marker. I leaned closer to the mirror in my room, squinting. “No,” I muttered to my reflection. “Absolutely not.” I wiped it off with micellar water and tried again. Still tragic. By the third attempt, I had accepted that maybe some talents were not given by God freely and had to be purchased through suffering. A knock sounded on my door. “Come in,” I called. Bernard stepped in with his usual composed face and impossible timing. “Good afternoon, ma’am.”

Though he could walk with assistance, reaching the carriage seemed impossible. But this was the only solution they had. When Gerald said it was impossible, Malcolm almost collapsed in frustration, saying, "You keep saying everything is impossible. Do you actually want the whole world to know what you've done?" Gerald's makeup had been wiped away, but his complexion remained ghostly pale, tinged with a sickly yellow. His cheeks were hollow, and the skin beneath his eyes sagged terribly. His hair had almost turned completely white, making him look much older than his years.

I didn't see anything wrong. I may not want to be here but I also didn't want to be insulted by him. Perhaps it was because I was a bit skinny. Did they have something against slim girls here? " I mean your make up. " He adds and now stands straight with his back off the wall. " it's ruined. " Oh. I almost say aloud and run my palm across my eye. When I look into my palm, I see the black blurry line over it. My mascara was washing off.

Stumbling over to the mirror, she took in the mess she'd become. "I hate this new look," Adrian had sneered, forcing her to change her hair back to blonde. She'd had to use a bleach wash to get the black dye out and now her ends were split and straw like. The circles under her eyes and pimples were getting harder to hide with make-up, meaning she looked worse than the girls she used to tease at school. 'Hello Karma, my new friend,' she thought, staring down at her bare hands.

I stared at his door blankly, a heavy breath escaping from my lips. I can’t believe I failed today again. At this point, I really don’t know how to break the rock this man had set between us. He’s just too hard to break.
