Lola's pov.

Sheldon had just dropped me off with a smile on his face. I frowned, going to hug him before whispering the words, "I'll miss you into his ears."

Why wouldn't I miss my finance? He was the most important, and caring person in the world to me after my father.

After pecking him on the cheek one more time, I began to pull my luggage, but the butler came to quickly get it.

"Good afternoon, and welcome home miss Lola," he stammered, helping me with the bag. I didn't even hesitate to let go. I would have made daddy fire him if he didn't come to my aid.

My eyes moved around, scanning my environment to see that nothing had changed. I was glad to know that the servants were doing their jobs in my absence.
